Upside Down

Chapter 3

Alex

All the boys went upstairs while Amy and I settled on the couch.

Amy had her head down and was playing with her fingers.

I cleared my throat so would start talking. She snapped her up and sighed. "It all started when we heard that you were about to move."

"Mom! Alex is still laying on her bed!" I heard Alec yell. I rolled my eyes and started looking at the packed brown boxes before laying down and looking up at the ceiling. Moments later my mom came in my room. "Honey I know this is hard but we have to go."

I felt the tear well up in my eyes. "Why can't I stay here? I can stay with Tori or Amy!" I sat up quickly started pleading with my eyes.

She shook her head,as expected.."Alex you need to come with us. You need your family. I will not have another family raise my daughter absolutely not. Your father and I have taken care you and Alec all of your life. I thinking it's time you take care of yourself and come with us. Do you have any idea what its like to not be with family?" Mom started to have rears in her eyes as while she started talking and I was feeling bad because mom was abandoned. Her father left her mom and her mom left her at the orphanage.

"Millons of kids would kill to be in your spot. There are so many children out there without any parents, without any family!" She wiped the tear that escaped her eye and huffed.

" I'm just telling you that you should think about what you will lose if you stay here." And with that she left my not-going-to-be-room-anymore

I mean she did have a point; kids out there would love to be adopted and have a loving family.

I sighed and reluctantly got up from my bed.

Alex came in and said that I had a gift at the door waiting for me.

Confusedly I walked downstairs and saw a box at the door, it had a blue and pink ribbon and little pacifiers all over the wrapping paper.

"What the fuck?" I whispered.

I opened the box and there was a baby bottle and a card. I took the card out and it said:

'What a slut?! Got laid and now pregnant. I feel bad for the baby and the baby daddy! It's a shame you lost your virginity to Evan. He is a scary mofo!

I stared at the card for what felt like hours that was until Alec said something "Alex are you okay?" I quickly wiped away my tears and ran upstairs and slammed the door close before sliding down.

I threw the box at the wall. I hugged my knees and started crying till my heart content.

"I never wrote that card Alex she put my name on there because we'll she is Tori." She held my hands and I flinched away.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry but you left before I even found out about what Tori sent you." Amy looked so sincere but I had to remind myself that she is the enemy.

I finally asked my question that I have been dying to ask "Why did Tori hit you?"

Her hand went to her cheek that Tori hit and sighed. "I told her that I was going to apologize to you about what happened four years ago. I tried contacting before you left but you never picked up and I didn't know your new adress."

I nodded and looked down at my lap. Amy never forgot what happened and she said she tried contact tactics and I somehow believe her and she is apologizing for something she technically didn't do.

So I looked back up at her and gave her a small smile.

She smiled and hugged me tightly, I wrapped my arms around her also and whispered "I've missed you"

"I've missed you too Al Al " I laughed at my nickname and we pulled away smiling like two kids waiting for their present on a Christmas morning.

"Hey do you think they made up yet?" I heard one of the boys say.

"Dude shut the hell up!" Amy and I giggled and we tip toed to the side of the wall.

"Great Ethan I think they went in the kitchen. I couldn't hear if they made up cause of you." Alec said.

"Just go to the kitchen door." Danny suggested.

And right there I stuck my foot out and tripped Alec and the other boys tripped over him. Amy and I were double over laughing and one pointed I started to cry because of laughing so hard.

"Maybe you should stick to video games and not earsdropping on us girls." I said finally after controlling my laughter.

"And to answer your question Ethan. Yes, Alex and I did make up" Amy smiled proudly and wrapped her arm around mine.

"It's about damn time." Alec said as dusted himself off while getting up from the ground.

"How about some ice cream?" Danny asked and we all agreed to it.

We all sat around the island eating the delicious creamy desert. This is what I l I bed to be surrounded by. Friends that you can talk forever to. Well I really wouldn't consider the Dolan twins friends but we will get there.
