Zayn's POV
Carter slammed a small stack of paper down in front of me. It's cover was glossy and my face was printed all over it. I smirked to myself. God was I good looking, but that was no surprise, I mean this was just another magazine I was on, I was on hundreds of magazines. What was the big whoop?"Do you think this is funny Zayn?" Carter spat.
I rolled my eyes at him, he was such a little twit sometimes. "I don't get what the big deal is Carter. It's a magazine with my face plastered across it. Like we haven't seen that a dozen times before!"
"You're not getting it Zayn!" He huffed in annoyance. I swear if it weren't for the fact that Carter was a family friend and one that my dad trusted more then anyone else, I would have fired his whiny ass a long time ago. "This is not just any magazine! This is The New York Daily ; Star's Weekly!"
I had heard of this magazine a couple times from other upset managers and big time people who had gotten bashed in it before. Apparently the writer of the Star's Weekly section was brutal. I found it quite humorous actually, on the rare occasion I actually read it.
"Well Zayn, you might be laughing now, but you won't be when you see that you are the one getting slammed this week."
My eyes whipped up to meet Carter's. "Excuse me?"
"Yes Zayn. You are the main topic of the article this week, and let me tell you, it's not pretty."
I looked down again and snatched the magazine up, flipping to the page that had my face on it, below the title "Nothing but a Pretty Face". I scanned it fast, slamming my fist down on the smooth wood table when I was finished. "The lying bitch! These are all lies!" I shouted at Carter.
Carter rolled his eyes. "Well I don't care if they are all lies Zayn. The big picture is that this article is out there for the world to see now and let me tell you, clients are not happy. They don't want to go out or host parties at clubs where the owner is known for being a cold hearted molester. We are going to loose major money over this if you don't fix it." His tone was short and snippy.
"Fix it?!" I questioned standing up, "How the hell do you suggest I do that?!"
Carter sighed annoyingly, "I don't know Zayn and I don't care how you do it. But you better figure it out. You've got 4 weeks to make this right."
"4 weeks?!" I gaped at him.
He just rolled his eyes. "Yes Zayn, 4 weeks. That is when we are supposed to sign that incredibly LARGE international deal with three other countries! And let me tell you, they are not impressed with this article."
"How the hell did they get the article?! It's a New York thing!"
"Listen Zayn. It doesn't matter how they got the article, the important thing is that they did. And they are not happy. If you don't fix this you might as well kiss this deal goodbye. 4 weeks." And with that, he turned and marched out of my office leaving me staring after him in shock.
A/N: So hello! This was just kind of a small filler before it gets to all of the rest.
That's kind of awful that my first real chapter is a filler but oh well!
Happy Readings!!!
