I've always had that certain dream where an attractive boy would whisk me off away in the night, ready to take me on an adventure. Then, the realization that I couldn't sneak out without getting caught hit me and my dream faded off as an unwanted hope.

It was ten in the morning and I was unfortunately in AP Statistics with a group of people whom I particularly didn't like and who didn't like me either. I had to drag myself through the crowded hallways to AP Chemistry once the bell rang, not caring if I bumped into anyone or not.

I was relieved to see that Calum was in my class and proceeded to sit next to him, collapsing onto my desk as I attempted to rest a little before the class began.
"Tired, huh?" He cocked an eyebrow at me and I just simply nodded before putting my head down on the desk once again.

"You have no idea." I muttered and just after, the teacher walked in, beginning his hour lecture.

By the time lunch came around, I had fallen asleep in two of my classes resulting in a detention after school. I mentally groaned at the fact that I had to deal with my coach and telling her that I would be late to practice because of this stupid detention. The day just was not going well for me.

"Wow you look like a ray of sunshine." Michael chuckled as he sat down next to me.
"I can't even fucking begin." I turned to look at him and saw that he had dyed his hair a nice lavender color. It completed his green eyes and I smiled slightly at him. Michael was attractive and he knew that I thought he was.

"Yeah, she fell asleep in history and pre-calc." Calum chuckled as he sat across from me.
"Wow, the perfect little student is having some trouble in sunshine land." Michael commented sarcastically and I just gave him a light push before staring down at my lunch. I had no appetite to eat anything and I just played around with my food for majority of the period.
"I can deal without the sarcasm. This day has been fucking terrible and I have a swim meet this Saturday." I groaned while leaning my head on Michael's shoulder. He patted my head.
"It's okay, you can do this."
"Yeah we'll even go to your meet on Saturday." Calum chimed in. I grinned, it was nice knowing that at least some people had my back.

The bell rang and I waved off to them then walked to A Hall or a hole, as I liked to call it. I had two more classes left before detention and I was just dreading all of it.

The dismissal bell rang and I made my way to a hole once again for detention. I was greeted with Mr. Romero and a group of scary looking students. I took a seat in the front where I did my homework in silence. It felt like years and as if the gates of heaven were open when Mr. Romero told us we could leave. I responded by running out as soon as possible.

Cal met me outside in the school parking lot and laughed when he saw me.
"Why are you laughing at me?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"You just look so pissed, it's kind of funny." I rolled my eyes and hopped into his car. I called Coach Carina and explained the detention and she surprisingly told me to just not bother going to practice since we weren't doing much today. I thanked her and let out a sigh of relief.

"She said I could skip practice today." Cal's eyes widened at the news.
"She actually let you skip? Is she on drugs or something?" I shrugged my shoulders. Coach never let me skip or anyone for that matter.
"Well let's use this opportunity to brighten up your shitty day." He said smiling. I just nodded slowly not knowing whatever he wanted to do.
We arrived at Calum's house, it was more of a large white mansion with a large gate and a bunch of expensive sports cars, but we all still referred to it as a 'house.' He pulled into the garage and we made our way inside.
"Hey Mali." We hollered, passing by his sister who looked like she was studying in the living room. She gave us a slight nod before turning back to her work.
We made our way to his room and I just plopped down on the bed scrolling through my phone.
"Wow, you're such a fun person to hang with." He said sarcastically.
"Shut the fuck up."

Cal had ordered pizza ahead of time and I didn't realize how hungry I was until I saw it. Michael had made his way over to the Hood's estate and basically devoured all the pizza before I could eat a fourth slice. Calum's phone buzzed and he looked down at it in confusion.

"Michael, Luke's moving here next week?"
Apparently the mention of Luke's name interested Michael because he perked up immediately.
"Why? I thought that his family had to stay in Sydney because of a job or some shit."
"I guess not, because he just texted me that his mom got transferred here too." Calum responded while typing something on his phone.
"Wait what?" Michael sighed and turned to me.
"Luke, Luke Hemmings. He's our friend from Sydney. Our parents all work in the same company. Cal and I's parents got transferred to work here while Luke's stayed in Sydney, but now they're getting transferred here." I just nodded my head, not really interested in whoever this Luke person was.
