Diadora was experienced in these kind of situations. Devidan and Riskel were a little experienced. However Jazabel wasn't.

"Nobody move..!" the lead mare whispered loudly. Jazabel froze, staring at the rest so as not to be more frightened than she already was. She could hear the low growl of the menacing cougar behind her.

"H-Help me.." she mustered, she thought she was going to die, and Diadora knew that expression. "You are not going to die Jaz..." she whispered back, forming a battle stance. Devidan and Riskel followed. Jazabel was the closest to the cougar, and she was more likely to her caught, but Diadora was not going to let that happen.

After a moment, the cougar pounced out from its hiding place, leaves flying next to him, his claws and teeth were as shiny as ever, showing themselves at Jazabel. His eyes were big and amber...and they told Diadora clearly what he wanted....to kill. The cougar's muscles rippled as he stretched his paws and body, gracefully leaping through the air to land on Jazabel's back.

Jazabel let out a shirlling whinny, her eyes rolled back and her ears pinned, but she was scared stiff. Immediately Diadora signalled the stallions, and Riskel lept from his stance, his muscles rippling as well, as he aimed himself at the cougar.........

There was a collision between the two, but the cougar had tore on Jazabel's flank and back, leaving crimson red blood to flow down her big open wound. Riskel's fore hooves striked the cougar, spraining them instantly upon impact. The stallion let out a battle cry, and Devidan knew what happened to him, immediately leaping after him. Riskel crashed into the stream, as blood and water splashed everywhere.

Devidan bit into the cougar, dragging him down as he clinged onto Jazabel again, sinking his teeth into her thigh. Jazabel shrieked, but could not speak, she desperately tried to get out of there, but saw Riskel struggling to climb onto shore. It was merely impossible as his fore hooves were sprained, if he can't get out in time, he'll drown. Jazabel, despite being injured horribly, rushed to help the stallion, blood flowing into the stream as she bounded over...

She finally made it and nudged the stallion out of the water, before scrambling up herself. Devidan was ruthlessly fighting the fierce cougar as they relentlessly tried to knock each other out.

Diadora pinned her ears and jumped in as well, taking the cougar from the back, sinking her sharp teeth into its back, and kicking it with her back hooves. The cougar was growling and roaring all the way through, fighting back effectively as he took a chunk from Devidan and left a large scratch on Diadora's face.

"Oh that's the drawing line....." she muttered, before shrieking and jumped vertically, aiming all her hooves at the cougar. She strucked the feline with such a blow that blood spurted out of its mouth.

Soon it fell into the stream, it couldn't get back up and it had already gone unconscious. Diadora wanted so badly to drag him up and save his life, but her corruption overtook her decision. So she stood in the stream...as the commotion and splashing died down. Her eyes staring after the cougar as it rested....dead at her feet under the water which had leveled to the bottom of her neck...but she didnt need to see the cougar..for she could feel the damp and lifeless fur on her hooves.

Her eyes emotionlessly stared into the stream, eyelids widened with grief and shock..body stiff and motionless. Devidan lowered his head, he knew that sore feeling Diadora was going through. Wanting to save an innocent animal who was just trying to making a living, but having your bloodline take over your emotions.

The stallion walked up to her and nuzzled the mare, licking her muzzle. The sudden show of romance and care was what Devidan had wanted to do for a long time.

He pressed his head against hers.

"It's okay Dia....its alright..we are all here for you..." he nickered gently, before separating and walking up the stream where Jazabel and Riskel were treating each other's wounds.

"You guys okay?" he bickered.

"Y-Yeah...we'll be fine in no time.." Jazabel replied. Devidan saw that all her wounds had stopped bleeding, and we're covered in aloe vera leaves found nearby by Riskel. His wounds were too covered by them. Devidan nodded and laid down.

"Come let me place some on your wounds too..dont worry I'll save some for Diadora..." Riskel whinnied softly to the other stallion.

"Okay..." Devidan neighed back, panting a little. As Riskel was placing the leaves on his wounds, he turned his head to look at his leader....

Diadora was standing, but after a few seconds she paced herself up the banks and towards the resting group....she laid down all soggy and wet, her face scarred....Diadora snorted softly and laid her head on Devidan's back.

"S-Sorry...but thanks again.." she mustered, before closing her eyes to rest, her body slowly rising and falling. Devidan managed a small smile, using his tail he placed it over Diadora.

"No problem..." he mummered, wincing a little as the leaves covered the last of his wounds. Riskel than stumbled to his feet, his mouth carrying a chunk of leaves, and walked unsteadily to his leader, and knelt down in front of her.

"Now...this might hurt...." he warned softly, placing a couple leaves on the scar on her face. Diadora didnt move a muscle, for she was in deep sleep. Riskel pricked his ears, "Wow." he mummered.

Devidan snorted and chuckled a little. He couldn't move as long as Diadora was sleeping on his back.

Don't worry Diadora...
