Kathryn is back, Emma and Newt are exasperated for a majority of the time, August is up to something, and Mr. Gold is determined to find out what. So are Lucius and Narcissa, for that matter.

Harry stared as August appeared behind the crates across the street from Mr. Gold's antique shop, then he looked over at his brother from where they were hiding behind some crates. "This," he gestured to August as he neared them, "is who called you?"

Henry nodded as August peered around the crates to the pawnbroker's shop across the street. "It's almost nine," he said, turning to face the two boys. "You all set? You know what to do?"

"Operation Cobra is always ready," Harry nodded determinedly. "I just . . . "

He trailed off, and August looked down at Henry. "You just what?" he prompted.

Henry's narrowed eyes made Harry raise an eyebrow. Was he just in a mood today? the young wizard wondered. "I don't understand what this has to do with getting Emma to believe," Henry finally answered.

If Harry didn't know the truth, he would have believed Henry was implying Emma still didn't believe in the curse. Good luck getting the truth out of us, August, he thought.

August peered out around the crates before turning back to Henry. "Sometimes other priorities assert themselves. Can you boys handle a little improvisation?"

"Yeah," Harry grinned, hearing Henry muffle a snicker at the memory of the mines. "Can you?"

August smiled back at them. "We're a go." He patted Henry and Harry both on the back, then they ran across the street into the pawn shop.

The bell rang as they entered the pawn shop, and Mr. Gold emerged from the back of his store, a look of confusion crossing his features before it disappeared. Harry held in a snarky snort. "Hey, Mr. Gold!" Henry smiled.

"Good morning, Henry, Harry," Mr. Gold politely nodded, his sharp eyes looking between the pair. "What can I do for you both?"

"I wanna get a gift for Miss Blanchard." Henry replied, a determined look on his face.

Mr. Gold started walking towards the two boys with a nod. "I see."

"Since she didn't kill that woman," Henry added.

Mr. Gold stopped in front of the two, giving a small smile to them. "Good thinking." Those sharp eyes turned to Harry, and he bit his tongue to keep himself from stiffening. "And how about you, Mr. Potter-Swan? A gift for your mother then?"

Harry shook his head. "For my two friends, actually." He grinned up at Mr. Gold, who smiled contritely and nodded. Harry looked around the glass cases of the store, smiling when he found a watch Draco would love, and placed an innocent smile on his face. "Mr. Gold? Can I look at this watch, please?"

The door to the back of the shop ever so slowly opened, and August carefully stepped through, hiding a wince when his boots hit the floorboards. He heard the boys chat back and forth with Mr. Gold, and he smothered a grin as he began searching the shelves. Clever boys, he thought.

"Can I help you?"

Or maybe not. August turned around to find Mr. Gold standing across the room, his eyes narrowed. "Yeah," he nodded, quickly thinking of a new plan. "I'm looking for some maps. I'm a bit of a collector."

"Yes," Mr. Gold slowly nodded. "Well, there's maps through in the shop. This is my office."

August nodded, pasting an innocent smile on his face. "I thought this was the entrance."
