The Good and The Bad Times

|Kyler's POV|

"Where've you been?" Luna asks me. "Haven't been in the mood lately, I'm sorry," I say truthfully. "Why? What happened?" She asks in concern.

Luna's my girlfriend. We've been dating for almost half a year now. We met at Spencer's. She walked inside the store with her auburn hair tied into a braid along her shoulder, a Metallica shirt, black shorts, and white Vans. She was beautiful. We started talking and we both just got together.

I told her how papa died and shit like that. "I'm sorry baby," she says, grabbing my hand. I just nod. This really wasn't something I wanted to talk about. After a few minutes of silence, I say "Wanna head to my house?" She nods, "Let me grab some of my stuff."

Once we make it to the house, Laila was there. "Where's Ari?" I ask her. She shrugs, "I dunno. She should've been off work by now." She looked a little worried. "I'm sure she's fine," I say. Laila just nods and continues to tap her fingers on the table. "Whatcha wanna do?" I ask Luna. She shrugs, "Play some COD or Halo, I guess." "That's fine with me." While I'm searching for the game, I hear Luna's phone ring. "Gotta take this," she says walking out the living room, outside.

After I find Halo and get it ready to play, she rushes back in and grabs her jacket. "What's going on?" I ask her. She says "Not enough time to explain, I'll text you later." Then she sprints out the door. Damn. "What's her deal?" Laila asks, pointing to the door where she just left. I shrug and go into the fridge, grabbing a pudding. I hope everything's okay with her.

I sit down and start playing the game. Laila comes and grabs a controller, starting to play also.

|Ariel's POV|

"Who's this Andy fella?" Meghan asks, sipping her straw. I roll my eyes and pull up a picture of him on my phone. A little while before he left, he stole my phone and took like a million stupid selfies. I showed her my favorite picture of him and show her. "He's sexyyy," she laughs, taking the phone, examining him. "Girl you gotta let me hit that sometime," she jokes. I roll my eyes and take it back. "Meghan, you're lesbian," I remind her, chuckling. "I'll go bi for him," she says, raising an eyebrow. I flip her off and sit back in the booth.

Meghan is one of my friends from work. We just got back from work actually. We're at Pizza Hut eating.

Andy's been gone for about a month and a half now. We've talked almost everyday so far. If we don't talk during the day, we call each other before bed. Geez I miss him.

After about fifteen more minutes, Meghan and I leave. Instead of going home, I go to the lake we skated at.

It's beautiful right now. The sun is setting, making the sky an orange and pink color. I wish I could see things like this everyday. Nature is gorgeous.

Nature is a whore. I laugh at myself.

I just sit on the bench and look at the sky until it finally sets. Then I stay to look at the stars. You can see almost every single one. I smile to myself.

Seven Years Ago

"The stars are pretty, right?" Cass asks us. Kyler and I nod. "If you say so," Kyler says, getting up. "Where are you going?" I say, pinching his leg. He slaps my hand away and says "I gotta study for an exam tomorrow." As he starts to walk away, Cassidy coos "Nerrrrrrd." He flips her off, she just laughs. "Wait, don't you have an exam too?" She asks, looking in my direction. I don't say anything. "Get yo ass in that house and study with him too!" She scolds, shooing me away.
