****There is only one person who I'd like to mention before you read this. My bestfriend, Amber Lugo, is my inspiration for everything. Thank you for not only showing me what friendship really is, but sharing it with me. Because of you, I know where I'm going in life. Most of all, I should probably thank you for saving me. God really works in mysterious ways, huh? I'm just glad all that sorrow I felt before, lead me to you :) You really are a gift from above! XOXO, Marissa
BTW, please give this story a chance. It's worth it. Become a fan :) It would mean a lot to me.
**The reason why I mentioned The Hunger Games is because I am in love with Suzanne's series! I just wanted to be the one who gave her some props and mentioned her book in my story.

"Excuse me, but do you happen to know where The Hunger Games is?"
"Huh?" I ask, not looking up from the book I'm so in love with. I'm in my special corner, with my back against a bookshelf and sitting on the floor with my kness to my chest.
"The Hunger Games. You know, the 12 Districts and 24 tributes...the killing...ring a bell?" I still didn't answer him when he finally asks, "I'm sorry, but do you work here?"
I finally put down the book I'm reading and angrily look up to find a pair of misty blue eyes staring into mine. I quickly retreat. If it's one thing I hate, it's eye contact. I feel like people see right through me when they're staring into my eyes.
I point at my name tag and snort. "Oh, so this isn't Wal-Mart? Crap, must be lost," I say sarcastically. I look beside me to find The Hunger Games beside me with it's stem poking out as clear as day light. What a lazy bastard. I take the book out of the bookshelf and stand to hand the book to him. "I take it you don't come to the library much? Are you lost?" That's when I seriously look at him. His black hair seems to always be in his eyes and his hair looks as though he just got out of bed without combing it at all. He's at least 6'3 and lean with broad shoudlers. His skin is pale white and is wearing a black v-neck. A very great combo with his stormy blue eyes. But right at his left eye lies a great gash of a scar that stops right before the arc of his nose. I quickly look away from it, not trying to be rude.
"Are ya kidding? I love this place. I just haven't been here in a while and it seems like the library has moved around a bit. I take it a coincidence that it was right beside you. Must be fate," he says casually, sitting down at the same spot I was minutes before. "What's the book you were reading, uh," he quickly looks at my name tag, "Videlle?" Before he can grab the book that was beside it, I snatch it from the ground.
"Just something that I've read a thousand times already," I reply, sitting down beside him, putting the book in my lap with the title face down. This book is my everything, it's best not to let others find out about it. He looks taken aback, but doesn't seem to be bothered by it.
"I practically grew up here. I was always the first one here when they had shipments for new books. It even got to the point where I started stealing books becuase I checked out the maximum amount of books already. That old lady that use to own the place would chase me down with a broom in her hands until she'd yell something about her hip and retreat back inside. It became such a habit, that all the workers would already be looking for me when I got out from school with brooms in their hands. I was banned from the place. I'm sure you know that the old hag has already passed on because somebody else owns the place, right?" he asks, flipping the pages of The Hunger Games. Why does this boy suddenly seem so familiar?
