"Ada!!!!! Naneth!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!" Nerissa screamed as her parents were engulfed in flames.
Nerissa watched her small elven village burn to a crisp, and watch her only family, burn to ash. And ever since that fateful day, she has been fearless, leaderless, borderless, for she is Middle-earth's greatest ranger in the history of elves.
~End of Dream~
3rd POV:
Nerissa woke with a start, tears and sweet coming down her face, wishing that her nightmare wasn't true, but it was, and always will be. She was in Imladris, or in the common tongue, Rivendell. Somehow, she felt at home here, welcomed. But she was one the move, she was a ranger, nothing can hold her down from an adventure.
"Nerissa, are you all right?" A familiar voice said.
It was Lindir. Both Lindir and Nerissa had grown up in the same elven town, they were actually siblings, and they got along so well, to where they were like friends.
"Nerissa?" Lindir said, trying to get his sister's attention.
"Huh? Oh, sorry, I just had a nightmare." She replied.
"It was about that day, wasn't it?" Lindir asked sympathetically.
"Yeah." Nerissa choked.
"Hey, hey, hey, it's alright, I'm here, I'm here." Lindir cooed and hugged Nerissa.
"I just miss them so much, I just want to hug them one more time." She whimpered as she clung to her brothers shirt.
"I know, I know, I do too. I do too." He whispered.
The two sat there for awhile, enjoying the comfort of the other. The Lindir started humming and intro to a song that they both knew since they were both little elflings (the one above). After a little bit Nerissa started to sing the lyrics:
