The River

Kirstie drove through the darkness, her vision blurred with tears.  She kept driving until she reached a small park with a familiar walkway.
"Jer! I'm home!" Kirstie called.  She heard a loud thump. "Jeremy are you OK?"  She raced upstairs to see what was happening. As she got closer, she heard voices.
"You said you were single!" Said an unfamiliar voice.
Kirstie walked up a hill overlooking the lake and found her bench. She put her head in her hands and sighed.
"I thought-"
"-you loved me!" Kirstie screamed, practically in tears. The girl had left, apologizing. But it wasn't her fault, it was Jeremy's.
"If you weren't on tour all the time, this wouldn't have happened!"
"I'm sorry I'm making a living doing what I love!"
"Maybe you should just leave!"
"I guess I will!" Kirstie gave final glare at Jeremy before slamming the door and leaving.
Kirstie's phone buzzed. Incoming call: Bass Kaplan.
Kirstie: Normal
Avi: Bold

K: *sniffles* Hehwow?
A: Kirstie! Where are you? Rehearsal started, like, 20 minutes ago!
K: I-I don't think I'm up to it, I'm sorry.
A: Everything ok, Kirstie?
K: ...
A: I'll be there soon! Just where are you?
K: I'm in the park.
(Kirstie had shown the band her special spot, so he knew exactly where to go.)
A: Hang tight, ok?
K: Ok..
A: I lo- *Kirstie Queen has hung up*
Avi exhaled sharply in frustration. He had tried to tell Kirstie his feelings, but he always missed his opportunity.
>One Car Ride Later!<

Avi jumped out of his car, and took the path leading up the hill.  When he got to the top...
Kirstie was gone.
Avi kept on looking, determined to find her.  She meant the world to him, and if someone hurt her...
He found her near the river. She spoke, but when she did she didn't face him.
"This river is 12 feet deep," she said, taking a step towards the edge.
"Kirs-" Avi began, but Kirstie interrupted.
"I'm sorry Avi. The decision is made." She took a step and she was near the edge. She spread her arms, and it took Avi a moment to realize what was going on.
"KIRSTIE!" Avi yelled, grabbing her arms and facing her towards him. She had tears in her eyes, and broke down in his arms.
"I love you, Kirstie." He said, with all his heart.
Kirstie sniffles. "I love you too, Avi."
They stood up, breaking their hug. Suddenly, Kirstie's eyes widened, and she slipped backwards, into the river.
"AVI!" She yelled, her voice filled with distress and sadness.
Avi turned around in time to see the last of Kirstie slip under the water.

>A few Years later<

Dear Family and friends,

I can't live like this anymore. Kirstie was my rock, my joy, and my life. Pentatonix hasn't been the same without our favorite soprano. I loved her more than life itself, and I only got to tell her once. To see her again would be my life's wish, and soon I shall. I have hated myself the past few years for being right there, and still not saving her. I have been watching our old videos, and they break my heart.  I need her. I need to feel her touch. I need to hear her voice. I need her smile.  So all I need to do...
...Is say good bye.
If you need me, I'll be at the bottom of the river.
Goodbye,
Avi

Avi slowly walked up to the river, and sang his final words;

"There's no place I'd rather be."

~Thord Person POV~

"Avi! I'm home! The doctor recommended a new type of medicine, so come here and take it, please!"   Scott yelled from the hall.  Silence.  I hope he's not hiding in his room again, thought Scott.  He walked into the kitchen, and immediately noticed a note on the table.  Reading it thoroughly, he screamed and called Mitch.
"MITCH!" Scott sobbed on one end of the phone.
"Scotty! Stop yelling, your hurting my-"
"MITCH AVI'S GONE! HE LEFT A NOTE SAYING THAT HE WAS GONNA JUMP IN THE RIVER!"
Mitch was silent.  Then Scott heard crying as Mitch hung up to tell Kevin.  The funeral was held a few weeks later.  Mitch could do nothing but cry, so Kevin got up and gave a speech instead.
"Friends, family, we are here today because of one man, and one woman.  They loved each other so much, they could not say.  I didn't know anyone too perfect for each other.  Avi could stand to live life without Kirstie, so he didn't." Kevin's eyes were misty, and he had a runny nose, but he pressed on. "He took his own life for his love.  Love that strong is special.  Me and Avi had a connection, because we had been roommate for however many years.  Mostly because we were the old farts of  the group." He added, and the crowd chuckled lightly.  "Their bond wasn't h not even by a roommate's, because in their connection, they were soulmates. They made our band so much brighter, and it will not be the same without them.  We cannot replace them, and will not.  Pentatonix cannot go on  without them.  We won't go commit suicide, because we need to be strong.  However, they will not be forgotten.  We love you, Avi and Kirstie, where you're going is a good place."  And as Kevin finished, somewhere above, two angels smiled down at the crowd and murmured in unison,
"We love you too."

Well that was depressing to write. Since I haven't gotten any ideas and/or comments, this was the best I could come up with. Hope your not too sad!
~Kisses always!~
