Chapter 11

" as you wish" he says picking her up

Once they got back to the tent their clothes were already pretty much dry and it was way past Regina's normal bed time of 10:00 sharp (as her mother would have it) . Robin laid her on the bed then moved to light a lantern. His eyes dropped to the side of him once he had lit the candle to see Regina propping herself on her elbows he smiles at her nothing to over bearing but enough to make her notice.
"What?" She asked when she caught his glare
" your just.. Really beautiful that's all" he said showing his dimples more
" yes you keep saying that not sure if I believe you though" she says laughing which makes Robin look at the ground smiling lightly shaking his head
" well I wish you would..." He says looking back up in a not fully serious face but you could tell he meant every word. Regina had no response but to look at him with a soft smile
" well I'm going to go see if little john put Roland to bed because it is far past little mans bed time" he says before turning on his heels and leaving. As soon as the flap hits the ground Regina lays back in exasperation thinking of the events that have happened today. She get ripped from her thoughts when Robin comes back in.
"Well?" She inquired
"Sound asleep" he says smiling walking over toward his bag and throwing his shirt in it. He walks over to his bed. Says a quick goodnight and blows out the lantern. There's no sound but crickets chirping till Regina breaks the silence after a few moments
"Robin?"
"Hmm"
"I'm.. Uh cold" she says absent minded biting her lip truly she wanted Robin to come circle his warm arms around her but she wasn't going to sound that desperate.
"Would you like an extra blanket milady?" He inquired standing up she sat up and looked at him.
"Uh i mean no but... Would you.. Would you maybe want to share the bed" she says the last part extremely fast like ripping off a band aid.
"I mean i can only imagine how lumpy the ground must be." She says trying to recover. It made it worse that she could only see his figure and could not make out any expressions he made.
" as you wish your majesty" and with that she relaxed you could practically hear his grin. He walked over and sat on the bed sending Regina higher and falling into him.
"Sorry" she says clinging to his arm.
" don't me I'm the man who provided a cheap bed" he says climbing under the covers
" your the man that provided any bed so thank you" she says as loud as a whisper. The bed wasn't very large but it was large enough that if both sat on a edge they would not touch so that's what they did.
"Your very welcome" was the last thing she heard before falling to sleep

Regina can't give an exact estimate of time but about 4 hours later she wakes up to a small voice
"Papa?"
Regina shifts so she is facing the door of the tent and opens her eyes to see a little boy holding a teddy bear.
" hey Roland what's wrong" she could tell by his watery eyes something was wrong as he walked over to her side of the bed.
" I had a .. A bad dream" he says sniffing mid way.
" oh I'm sorry little man do you want to sleep with me and your daddy?"
" ye..yeah" he says giving a small over worked sigh in the middle.
"Okay come here" she says picking him up and he lands on the mattress immediately curling up onto Regina as she gets pushed back into robins bare chest.
"Where's.. Where's daddy?"
"He's right behind me but for now let just go to bed okay?" She says moving the curls from his eyes.
"Okay" he says curling up into a ball as they both fall back asleep.

Okay ya'll I'm really sorry I haven't updated in forever now but I have had a lot of personal problems going on and school and just yikes so really sorry but I hope supper cute Roland makes up for it :) Mwah 💋
