Poem for my Grandfather

And when I Die

And when I die,

who will mourn?

And when I pass from here to there,

Who will see me go?

I would rather fall like a star

string by string,

A broken space,

A sway of time,

No footprints,

or apology

I would rather fall like a star does

without a sound

a freefall way to somewhere else leaving behind a thin trail of white

that wasnt mine to begin with
