As I sat in the courtyard of my new school listening to my favorite band Black Veil Brides, I looked around at all these "New faces," things just didn't seem right. My mother and I moved here after my father had left us. I'm not to worried about it, because I really had nothing to leave behind. I wasn't your average teenager, I didn't have friends and I didn't fit in with the other kids. I was what they call a misfit. Being emo is hard for kids my age but it was the path I chose it is who I am.
I seen a shadow standing in front of me, I take my ear buds out and look up and see a girl with bright green eyes witch seem to shine in the sunlight, along with her dark long black hair blowing in the breeze. She was beautiful, "Hi are u Oliver" She said as I was looking up "Um...Y-y-yess how'd you know?" "I heard about you in the school paper...I'm Violet, nice to meet you." She smiled at me and walked away, I wasn't one to really talk to people or enjoy people in general... But something about her seemed different.
"Oliver dinners ready!" I hear my mothers voice sound from the kitchen, I wasn't really hungry but I decided to get dinner anyways. I arrived in the kitchen seeing my mother over by the stove finishing up, she hadn't noticed me yet. "How was school Oliver?" I just put my head down and started eating my dinner. "You know what, I don't know what happened to you, you used to be so sweet and now I don't even know who u are, I was okay with the makeup and the music and even the black clothes, your falling apart your always so depressed." I got up and left I need some air, so I grabbed my skateboard and my ear buds and left.
It was about 3 hours since I left the house and I stopped at a gas station for something to drink, "Hey Oliver!" I turn around to see Violet standing there, "Um hey...Uh by the way you can call me Oli." "Okay! I meant to give you this at school but I didn't see you after the courtyard" she handed me a piece of paper with her number on it "We should really hang out sometime." "Um yeah sure... I should probably be heading home." "Okay bye Oliver..I mean Oli."
When I got home my mother was there waiting for me but I just went straight to my room, I put in my ear buds and started playing Asking Alexandria. I decided I was going to text Violet. We talked for about an hour, I just don't understand why someone so perfect like her would ever want to hang out with me or even talk to me for that matter. She had asked me if we could hang out tomorrow. So we were going to the movies to see Thor the Dark World, I couldn't wait to see her.
That night I went up to my room and as I sat on my bed listening to my music, I couldn't help but cry why was I such a disappointment, nothing I did was right. I'm different, I'm a misfit... I held my wrist and seen my scars, I had been clean for about 3 years now. I wasn't proud of what I had done but there was nothing I could do.
I heard my phone ring, it was Violet. "Hello?" I answered "Hey Oli, i was just calling to say hello!" So we talked for awhile. It was starting to get late and we were tired, so we hung up. I went into the bathroom to take my eyeliner off, but the faucet wasn't working. "Of course," that would mean I would have to go downstairs and talk to my mom, so I just left it on.
The next morning was school so I got ready, the faucet still didn't work so I decided to finally go down and speak with my mom "Good morning Oliver." My mother said as I walked in the kitchen, "The faucet upstairs isn't working." "I know, I had someone check it yesterday while you were go, you can use my bathroom." So I went and got ready for school.
When I got to school I saw Violet, she came up to me "Hey we still up for hanging out later?" I shook my head just then a guy with dark hair came and pushed me "Hey Violet, what are you doing with this faggot." "Leave him alone Brock!" I just stood there..."Are you okay Oli?" "Erm..yeah I'm fine."
That night, I finally get to hang out with Violet out of school. I got ready and headed for the movie theater me and Violet met half way it was a beautiful night almost as beautiful as her. When we got to the theater. It was still to early to see the movie so we waited outside. About 10 minutes in a tall man approaches us "Hello Oliver." My jaw dropped "Father?"___________________________________
