As I started to press down I heard a banging on my bathroom door, the razor dropped. "Oliver! Something happened to Violet." At that point I felt like my whole world ended I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe. "I couldn't loose Violet to."
I ran out the bathroom door, downstairs and looked for the car keys. "What happened to her? Where is she? Is she okay?" I didn't even know what to think. "Her and her family got in a car accident, she's injured pretty bad.... Her parents didn't make it." My father hugged me. "Take me to the hospital....please." He gave me a sympathetic look and nodded his head. The whole way there it was silent.
We arrived at the hospital, I didn't wait to park, I ran inside and I saw a doctor. "Is there a Violet Carlile here?" He looked at his clipboard. "Uh..yes but we aren't allowing visitors." "Oh please sir...I need to see her." I think he saw the hurt in my eyes. "Alright, leave your name and you may go in, she's down the hallway second door on the right." He handed me his clipboard, I wrote my name Oliver Lucus.
I stepped in her room..she was covered in wires and bandages. Poor Violet ❤️ "Oliver? Is that you?" I heard her tiny voice whisper "Yes it's me." "Oh Oliver I'm so glad your here." "I'm glad I'm here to, how are you feeling." "I'm hurting but I'll be okay." Her voice sounded like she had something in her throat. "Oliver?" "Yes Violet?" "Did they make it....my parents?" I grabbed her bandaged hand "No" tears ran down her checks. "I love you" "What?" She turned to face me "Yes I love you, I've been thinking for awhile now and I want to spend my life with you. Your the most important person I have, now is not the best time to say this but I really do." She was silent "I love you to."
That night I stayed with her, I tried to cheer her up as much as I could. I told her about my mother and the razor. She had told me that I was important to her..I was all she had left...I would stay as long as she needed.
Weeks pasted she got better and better each day.. My dad agreed that Violet could stay with us until she had somewhere else to go. It was 3 days until she could leave
The day was here for Violet to come home she wasn't fully healed. We drove home, when we got there I made Violet a bed in my room. She was sore she she laid down for the night I brought her her dinner.
Later that night I was sitting in my room Violet was sleeping, why her? I asked myself she didn't deserve this. I was feeling really depressed that night I didn't feel like living. Why couldn't this happen to me?
The next day Violet was so cheerful as like nothing happened she was in such a good mood. But why? That night I decided to ask her. Violet? How can you do this?" "Do what Oliver?" "Be so happy, so much has just happened and your not upset." "Well Oliver, sometimes you gotta not focus on the bad." I just stayed silent. "I love you Oliver." "I love you to Violet, so much... You mean everything to me I never want to loose you."___________________________________
