I'm in the dark,
Completely lost,
Totally afraid.
You shake your head
and say,
The dark is just a blanket,
Close your eyes,
Take my hand,
I can see just fine.
I'm in pain,
Confused,
And scared out of my mind.
And you say,
We'll figure it out,
Hold your breath,
Let it out,
It's just a hurdle.
Hurdles are for
knocking over.
We both know that you can't clear it.
And, Daddy?
Your the only one that can clear my mind,
Help see throughout the rain.
People are good, it is shocking.
You swear that you don't plan to go
but you never know.
Savor Life,
And please,
Don't go.
Let's be old together.
