I sit in the corner of an abandoned library
Curled up in blankets I found in an old library.
Children walk by,
Singing songs that make me want to die.
I've never seen the point
Of putting "glitz and glam" on a tree,
Just to brighten up the joint.
Broken ornaments and old scarves
Are enough for me.
People are far from starved
After that big meal.
While I'll be lucky to find
An orange with its peel.
And while I really don't mind,
It's not ideal to be alone.
But at least I'm home.
In an abandoned library,
With blankets I found in an old alley.
