~Alison's POV~
"Oh my god." Emily whispered.

"What?" I said, confused. She looked around frantically

"Oh-um...I...um..it's just..this restaurant is amazing!" She finally managed to get out. I could tell she was lying, but it was our first date so I'll just let it go for now.

"Okay, let's go sit down."

~Emily's POV~
Oh my goodness! I can't believe she's here! I'm so glad Ali didn't ask any questions because that's a stone I don't want to turn over.

The whole night I just couldn't focus. The dinner was great, our food was fantastic, and Ali looked absolutely gorgeous, but one thing was off. I just couldn't stop wondering why she was back.

After we finished our food, I noticed Ali had a bit of a sad expression on her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked her. She didn't look up from her empty plate.

"You just seem...distracted. Are you sure you want to be with me?" She mumbled. By this time, she had tears streaming down her face.

"Baby, of course I want to be with you. There's no one I'd rather be with." I told her and wiped the tears from her precious face.

"Then what's been on your mind the whole night?" She asked, she sounded hurt.

"I'll tell you, but not here. Can we go back to my house?" I asked and she nodded.

We paid our bill and walked out. I'm worried about telling her. The drive home was pretty quiet. Neither of us really talked. We arrived at my house and I took her to my room. I say on the bed and gestured for her to sit beside me.

"The reason I was distracted during dinner is because I saw someone when we were walking in. Someone I haven't seen in a long, long time." I stopped, cautious of what I was saying.

~Alison's POV~
Emily paused and I felt tears coming on. There was someone else. I looked at her begging her with my eyes to go on with the story.

"Her name is Samara." Emily said and looked down. This time, she was crying. I was confused. Who was Samara?

"Who is that?" I asked. She sighed.

"My ex-girlfriend." Emily couldn't look me in the eyes and I couldn't look her in the eyes.

"Oh" that was all I could manage to get out. I stood and walked to the bathroom. I sat down against the door and just silently cried.

~Emily's POV~
God, why did she have to come back? She means nothing to me anymore. I love Alison with all of my heart, but how do I show her that? I walked to the bathroom door, but it was locked. I gently knocked.

"Ali, can you please come out?" I said softly. And she didn't reply. After a few moments, I heard the door unlock and it slowly opened. We both just looked into each other's eyes. Her crystal blue eyes looked hurt and broken. I felt terrible. Then all of the sudden, the look in her eyes changed.

~Alison's POV~
I opened the door and saw Em's face. I could tell she felt bad. I couldn't hold it against her. It wasn't her fault that her ex-girlfriend came back. I was Emily's girlfriend, after all. I got the sudden urge to kiss her. I took a step forward and pulled her in for a long, passionate kiss. She kissed back harder and we headed for her bedroom.

"I. Love. You. So. Much." She whispered in between kisses. I pulled away slowly.

"I love you too, Em. More than you could ever imagine." I said, looking straight into her eyes. We continued kissing until we both got tired and the kissing turned into cuddling which turned into sleeping.

<The next morning>
I woke up to my mom shaking me.

"Emily Catherine Fields!!! You're going to be late for school!!" My mother was shouting.

"Okay! I'm up!" I shouted back, rubbing my eyes. I looked over and Ali wasn't in my bed. My mom was walking out of my bedroom.

"Mom, wait," She turned around in my doorway, " have you seen Ali?" I asked with worry on my face.

A grin grew across my moms face an she replied, "She's downstairs." And with that, she winked and walked away. I got out of bed and walked downstairs. Ali was in the kitchen eating cereal. She was already dressed and ready for school.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" I said, sitting next to her.

"You were looked so peaceful. I couldn't interrupt that." She said. And I kissed her lightly on the lips.

"I'm going to go get ready and then we can leave." I said walking back toward my bedroom.

"Okay, sweetie. I'll be waiting down here for you." She yelled at me.

I got dressed and did my hair and makeup. I also brushed my teeth. By the time I got down there, Ali was already in my car, singing along to the radio. The drive to school was super fun. We were already late, so we stopped at Starbucks and got coffee. When we arrived at school, everyone was already in class so we got our stuff from our lockers and held hands while walking to class. We both had English first period so we untangled our hands as we walked in together.

"Look who decided to show up." Mr. Fitz said jokingly. Ali and I took our seats. Halfway through class, the classroom phone rang. Mr. Fitz answered it and a couple minutes later, he hung up.

"Class, we have a returning student." He said. Everyone looked confused. Who had moved? When the door opened everyone stated at the returning girl who waked in the door. It was Samara. As soon as I realized it was her I dropped my pencil on the floor and looked to the other girls. All of their mouths were shaped in a little O.
