The Apocalypse Starts

It Begins

 Hunter was asleep in his bed,His white and black hair a mess. He slept with his German shepherd  dog  Max. Hunter had heard on the news that there was a virus spreading around killing people and bringing them back and killing the living people who were not infected but didn't care for it as long as it wasn't in his home town. He went downstairs and noticed his front door was open. Max trailed behind Hunter following him. Hunter called out "Mom? Dad?" He called out but no answer to his calls. He looked around his house and was left with one room left. The basement. Hunter walked down into the basement and heard a bone crunching noise. He slowly crept down and peeked around the corner. Hunter's eyes had widened when he saw his parents eating their other dog, spike.He turned and looked back at Max. He pointed back out the door at the top of the stairs. Max walked up and out the door.

Hunter grabbed a axe silently, not alerting his infected parents. He walked up to his mother and slammed the axe into her head. He watched the body drop and his un-dead father look at him. He reached out to bite him but Hunter quickly moved back and swung the axe into his fathers head. He panted and looked at the blood covered axe. "I need to get out of here!" he turned and ran back up the stairs. He ran up into his room and grabbed his school backpack and took out all the school stuff he had. Hunter ran into the kitchen and started backing food that he knew wouldn't go bad so quickly. He packed a few water bottles and put on his hoodie and shoes. He whistled for Max and he came running panting. "common boy" Before he left he got a few cans of food for his dog and ran out of his house. Looking back at it from the sidewalk. He sighed softly. " i need to find a car and get out of here." He saw people being eaten alive, ran over by cars, and people in general panicking. He ran down the street, Max right by his side running with him. He heard a loud scream from a small girl. He looked over at where the scream came from and his eyes widened. 

He saw a small girl, looking only about 12 surrounded by three of the infected. He quickly ran to them and pushed them away. He plunged the axe into their heads, covering him in more blood then he was already covered in. He looked at the girl. She wore a white dirty dress that went down to her knees. She ran at Hunter and hugged his legs scared. He looked down at her. "common. ill get us out of here" He held the girls hand and the axe handle in his other hand. He began running, max on one side of him and the girl on the other. Hunter saw a pick up truck and ran to it. "get behind me" she nodded and got behind Hunter and he busted the window with the handle of the axe and unlocked the door. Max hopped in and got in the passengers seat, the girl getting in the middle seat, and Hunter getting in the drivers seat. He saw the gas was full and the key was still in the ignition. He started the car and drove off as quick as he could. "put on your seat belt kid!" he said driving past all the cars and infected on the streets. Soon he reached the highway and sighed. "we need to get somewhere safe for now"
