Into training

Hunter had driven to the next town over, killing infected on the way. He stopped seeing a shooting range and gently shook her till she woke up "w-what is it Hunter?.." He rubbed her head "Im gonna teach you how to use a gun okay? common" He got out of truck with Max and Sapphire . He walked into the shoot range with her. The place was quiet and almost empty. He walked to one of the stalls and say a paper cut out of a man at the end of the stall were they shoot. He gave her the gun and max laid down against the wall. "alright, see that target in the middle of the cut out? Your gonna shoot it okay?" She nodded and aimed, she was shaking. "i-i cant do it Hunter...." he held her arm steady aiming at the target "you need to relax Sapp, common"

She shot and got it right on the dot. She cheered and turned and hugged Hunter " I did it hunter! I really did it!" she jumped up and down still hugging him. He laughed and stood up straight " mind if i see the gun real quick" she nodded and gave him the gun. He aimed at another target and made bullet holes around the target and he shot the target. He looked down at her smiling "practice makes perfect Sapp" He smiled and sat down against the wall next to max. He handed the gun to her and let her practice for awhile. When he was done, he stood up, collecting ammo supplies for him. He held out his hand and she held his big hand compared to hers.

He walked out of the shooting range and hopped in the back of the truck. He laid down with Max's head on his lap and sapphire laying beside him, cuddled into him. Hunter looked up at the stars sighing softly and rubbing her head. "this is a big world..there has to be a safe place somewhere "he smiled closing his eyes and slowly falling asleep. She falling asleep soon after.
