A New Student (Yami Yugi X Reader)

Part 5

Whew, what a day!  You thought, going from upset to thrilled so many times in one day! What a rollercoaster! Good thing that the thrilling came from an awesome person who I met at school today! You looked over at the tall and handsome teen walking beside you, But, the day isn't over just yet!

"So uh, Yugi,"  You said to break the awkward silence that was happening for about a minute now, "You don't live too far from our school right? I'd hate to take this much time from your hands by you walking me home-"

"Listen (y/n), it's no trouble at all, I quite enjoy having you as company," with sweet eyes he said, "never forget that."

You smiled brightly, "I will never forget!" You looked around at your surroundings, taking a look at the familiar urban scenery that you have been living in your whole life. Never once have you moved somewhere else because mom and dad were always working and just never got the time to. And besides, it was nice around here anyway.

Speaking of surroundings, you asked Yugi, "What do you think of the environment around here Yugi?"

"It's really nice actually!" You explained to him how you've stayed in this city your whole life while Yugi explained what his life was like back in Japan.

"You know (y/n), you should really come visit Japan sometime! I guarantee that it would be the most awesome experience of your life!" 

Excitement burst from within you along with a tinge of fangirling, "MY GOSH YESSS! I LOVE JAPANESE CULTURE AND I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO TAKE A VACATION THERE!" You made a nervous cough, "Sorry...getting carried away again."

Yugi laughed, "I don't blame you!"

You two were almost there to your house. Passing by a store that had a T.V. in the display window, Yugi stopped walking to watch breaking news being played on the channel:

"We interrupt your local programming to breaking news happening over on Woddside Avenue followed by an amber alert for the situation which happened earlier this afternoon; A 19 year-old teenager was kidnapped by a mysterious person in a black cloak. Witnesses of the action have reported that the suspect carried the girl over his shoulder and ran off to the dark depths of a nearby alleyway. When followed, the witnesses said the suspect nor the innocent girl were nowhere to be found. Police are investigating where they could have gone and as well dealing with the most recent issue of people's belongings being stolen from their cars. Stay tuned for more information and stay as safe as you can be. Thank you."

"So that's what the amber alert from earlier was about..." You looked worriedly over at Yugi, "You don't think... all these problems could be caused from the same thief do you...?"

Yugi kept an expressionless face, eyes still locked on the T.V., "Thief..." he said tasting his words. "I sure hope it's all caused by the same person, that way it would make it a whole lot easier to just track em' down and place them in jail instead of finding a whole gang to look for."

You looked down, "Very true...I just hope that girl is okay....and Woddside Avenue isn't that very far away either...just maybe two miles away..."

You felt a hand rest on the back of your head, "You will be safe (y/n), and i'll make sure of that."

Meanwhile at Yami's place...

AN: Let's switch it up a bit shall we? XD

"It was very nice of you to stick with (y/n) through the whole day pharaoh! She seems like a wonderful person to join the rest of the gang huh? Tea, Joey, Tristan...they'd love her!" 

Yami looked out the window, his eyes grazing the stars above. "Yes, actually Yugi, I've never met anyone like her. There's just something about her..."

Little Yugi Mouto held his millennium puzzle.

"I think she's the one, Yami."

Yami's eyes grew wide, "What?? I-I mean, no. No. It can't be her...can it?!?!"

Yugi giggled, "You said it yourself pharaoh, there's just something different about her...maybe she does hold the power of what has been forgotten so long ago..."

Yami stared into Yugi's playful but serious eyes.

"We will just have to wait Yugi...but I agree that there is a possibility as well..."
