Chapter 10

Elsa's POV

As I walked with the Duke of Crobayca , I felt as if something was off.  The Duke, I mean Leo, seemed nice but, lacked substance. And those smiles of his don't seem genuine . But, I should never be rude, so I accepted his invitation to dance. The dance felt somehow boring and dissatisfying. I kept on remembering  when I danced with Jack, and how magical it was. How magical it felt to be with Jack... As I got closer to meet him and brother Niklas, I noticed his smile faltered a bit and the usual playful sparkle in dark blue eyes were gone.... What's wrong ?

"Happy Birthday,  Jack. " Leo said as he bowed in front of Jack.

" It is nice to see you again Leo, how are things in Crobayca ? " Jack said a bit monotony . 

" Cold, cold. But of course not as cold as Norhaven. We've already started plowing out land for our crops for the upcoming season. Which will be great use for us for the ending of this season. " Leo said.

" Do you think you could talk about Crobayca trade with my father and I  , Leo, ? " Niklas asked . 

" I don't see why not, Niklas.  Jack I wish and well, and Elsa, is was a great honor to meet you. " Duke Leo said. They then departed off to find Jack's father. But, I as they left I could've sworn that Niklas winked back at Jack. I looked at Jack ..., for some reason he  was unusually quiet, which caused my to look any other direction than him. 

" Elsa ? "  I took a whiff in the air, something in the air smells really good...

" Elsa ? " I know I've smelt something like it before....

" Elsa, ? " I turned my head to voice that was calling my name. It was Jack, I blushed sheepishly, " Oh, I'm sorry Jack, yes ? " 

" I know how Arendelle woman love their chocolate, ...." 

" And so... ? " I said a smile gracing my lips. 

" Of behalf of the Kingdom of Norhaven , I bestow upon your, Norhaven's greatest gift. " 

" Am I worthy of such a gift ? " I said feigning awe. 

" Your have all the requirements listed.." 

" Which are  ?......" 

" Umm, being able to breathe ? " 

I let out a laugh, " Wow....." 

"Just take the chocolate , Elsa . " Jack said as he held out a tray of some to me. 

" You don't have to beg . " I teased. I cast my eyes on the chocolate.. so many choices and all looked so delectable .

" Elsa, please just choose..my arm is getting tried. " 

I hit his other arm playfully, " Have patience, Jack , " I quickly picked a random one and popped in my mouth. Mhmmm...so good.

" Am guessing you like it ? " Jack said with an oh-so-cute smile which caused butterflies in my stomach. 

" Its good, but....." I started. 

" But...? " 

" Arendelle's chocolate is better. " 

" Oh, Elsa, how could you wound you me so on a day like this. " Jack said feigning hurt. 

" I'm am truly sorry, your highness, but it is the utmost truth." 

We then burst out laughing, causing some of Jack's guests to give us wary glances. I looked at Jack who was still trying to recover from our outburst. The twinkle in his eye was finally back and a his real genuine white-as-snow smile  was finally showing again. As I was dancing with the Duke , it seemed to have vanished...
