After my mom left, the nurse had told me I was welcomed to stay until next period instead of walking in late to class. So I stayed seated and waited until my head cleared and I could see straight. Finally, the moment had come.
The bell rang.
I looked at my schedule for the first time:
1st) Honors English 3 - Mr. Cooper
2nd) Advanced Honors World Geography - Mrs. Kyle
3rd) Physical Education - Ms. Frail
4th) Lunch
5th) Spanish 4 - Mrs. Ramos
6th) Free Period
7th) Advanced Chemistry 2 - Dr. Houston
8th) Applied Algebra 1A and 1B - Mrs. Jenkins
9th) Robotics 3 - Mr. Smith
10th) Music Theory 4 - Mr. Rosa"What period is this?" I asked.
"4th. Now hurry, dont be late!" The nurse said as I tried to stand up.
It was judgement time. I walked into the dreaded cafeteria. I was expecting kids to turn and stare at me like an alien I felt like, but no. No one at all paid any attention to wither I was breathing or not. Not one person turned away from their meal, or group chats.
Was it weird that I expected them to?
I felt so lost in this school already and just watching movies or reading books made me feel like the main character in my own life. That everyone else was just an actor and they have to talk to me, make fun of me, laugh with me, hang out with me, revolve around me.
But this is the real world. And rather you like it or not, no one gives a shit about you.
I found the lunch line and paid for a simple meal, not really knowing what people here ate.
When I exited the line, it was choosing time. I glanced around. Tough looking guys in blue and gold jerseys sat at one table chugging down milk, bitchy blondes with way-too-tight-to-even-be-considered-on-the-dress-code skirts, goths with braids and black, well, everything put on their faces, nerds hiding behind huge textbooks and big rimmed glasses, and then there was me. Standing in the middle of the cafeteria looking like a complete idiot.
Who should I become?
Just then I noticed a familiar face. She was eating lunch with a bunch of blondes and laughing about something. She glanced up and made eye contact with me. A huge grin spread across her face when she realized who she was looking at.
All of a sudden, she waved for me to come sit with her. I will be totally honest, I was not expecting this. I walked over and she looked even more thrilled to have me there (if that was even possible). Damn, she had this perky cheerleader type attitude down.
"Hi, my name is Violet. Sorry I knocked you over. I was just being silly. Hey do we have any classes together? Are we in the same grade? You look really young," Violet exclaimed.
"Uh hey. I'm Brianna but I go by Bri. And yeah, I'm pretty young for the classes I'm taking. I'm a junior by the way, taking all seniors classes. Are you a senior?" I asked.
"Oh my gosh! That's so cool! You're like a super smart, sexy looking junior with mad technology skills!" Violet said going through my classes. "We have 4 classes together plus lunch! This is supper amazing! Isn't this amazing, Jenny?"
The girl I'm guessing she's referring to as "Jenny" looked up from her salad and smiled a lost smile.
"Hey you should like, totally try out for cheer! Oh my god that would be so cool!" Violet suggested.
"Yas boo! Like totally," Jenny finally spoke.
Should I try out for the team? Become a girl who presents herself as someone easy? Someone who's just a dumb blonde who flashes herself out there to guys just to get a few applauses?
"I don't know. I might. When's try outs?" I asked a little hesitant. If I don't like it, I don't want to seam rude.
"Omg! She's so interested! Okay, it's this Friday after school at the feild. You'll see us out there. Just bring black shorts and a tank. I can't believe she's gonna do it! Omg she'll totally make a great flyer!"
You're only a junior once, right? Might as well be a few different people. I was a big nerd last year at my old school. But I guess this year, I'm rerighting history. Brianna Merfey is going to be a cheerleader.

◇
◇Hey guys! As you might have read in the prologue is that there are two writers for this book. Yes, there are. But the bummer about that is that I would like to stay anonymous. So just for little notes like this, I'll be known as ◇ (are dimond) No my name is not Dimond, it's just that I got bored and decided to mess around with the different symbols and stuff and found this. So Star, the girl actually writing this book, is going to be known as ☆. *Duh*
So I thought code names would be easier rather than author #1 and author #2. Anyways, Star is writing this book, so it's kind of her idea but I'm just editing it and adding in details and stuff like that.
So I hope you guys are enjoying our book so far! Updates are being worked on as you're reading this right now, so bare with us, it won't be too much longer. Thank you so much for reading it kinda means more to me than Star ^○^
So don't tell her *shhhh*
So yeah, thx for reading!Ttyl,
