Blackberry molasses, one of the things that never change

I hid out in the bathroom for two hours. I kinda had fallen asleep I got off the carpet and left the bathroom peaking my head out both ways before exiting .
The light flicked on and I see my mom sitting in the corner shaking .
"Mommy what's wrong ?" I asked
"Don't come near me you Fucking whore ! You think I wouldn't find out you was fucking my man ? And he was giving you the money ? " she said as she stood towering over me . I was at lost for words I just wanted to cry
"Give me the money Nichelle ! Now . "
"No mom I'm not giving you it . It's for me and Devin to live fucking better than this ! No so you can smoke it out ma ? No this is for us to find a way " I said on the brink of tears.
"Then get the fuck out of my house Nichelle you and your retarded ass brother you take care of him. "
"Wow ma . Money and crack meant more to you than your fucking kids . He's not fucking retarded so watch your mouth . You weren't woman enough to take care of your kids I did that for you he's learning he's young he fucks up . But your just a fuck up mom you ain't shit in our life and won't ever be so fuck you mom. " I said as I stormed away leaving her there stunned . I walked into Devins room and woke him up and told him to pack his stuff up we were leaving .
"Niché where are we going .? I have to leave my bed here ? " he asked
"Yes my prince everything is going to be okay "
" okay Niché you promise "
"I promise my baby , just keep packing . " in reality I didn't know if it was going to be okay .... I didn't know where we were going to go 😪.

I pulled out and called the only person I knew could help me ......
