Evie's POV
I was sitting in my English class thinking about me and Liam's kiss this morning. It was so awkward. I mean Liam and I are bestfriends. I don't see Liam that way. I don't think he see's me that way either. I was ripped from my thoughts when my teacher told us that we had a new student. "Class this is Niall Horan!"
I was shocked to see the same blonde blue eyed guy that was looking at me through the window at Blossoms. His eyes also widened at the sight of me. A smile crept on his face. When his blue eyes met my brown one's I quickly turned away and continued to read the greatest love story ever written 'Romeo & Juliet'. I didn't care if I read it my freshman year. I was ripped from my book once again from someone saying my name. "You may take the empty seat next to Evie, Niall." The teacher said.
The smirk on his face grew bigger every step he took. He finally sat down as the teacher went back to teaching the lesson. I heard him chuckle under his breath. I wanted to ask him what was so funny, but I just ignored him and went back to reading my story. I could feel him staring at me.
"Can I help you?" I whispered.
"Nope you just have the prettiest brown eyes I've seen." He said as he smiled.
Ok that was the corniest pick up line I've ever heard, but it was kinda sweet at the same time.
"Umm thanks. I guess." I blushed a little.
"Hey isn't that a freshman story?" He asked.
"Yes it is!" I huffed.
"Saved by the bell once again." I thought to myself. It was lunch time. I quickly stuffed my books into my bag and ran up out of there. 10 seconds into the hallway I bump into the person that I have been avoiding all day. Liam. It was like he was waiting for me. I was about to brush past him until he grabbed my arm.
"Can we talk? Please." He pleaded. I nodded as he grabbed my hand and lead me to the parking lot to his car. He started the ignition and burns off down the street.
It was pretty silent ride. It only took 15 minutes to get to where we were going. We pulled up at our regular kick it spot. It was a restaurant called 'Legacys'. We walked onto the patio area and sat a table in the shade. The waiter came and asked what did we want to order.
"I'll have the Ceaser Chicken wrap and a Cherry Limeade please." Liam ordered.
"And you miss?" The waiter asked.
"I'll have a double bacon cheeseburger with everything on it except tomatos and a large Pepsi please." I ordered.
"We're supposed to be eating healthy Evie!" Liam butted in.
"I am eating healthy. Grain, protein, vegetables, and dairy ." I retaliated
"Evie!" Liam said frowning.
"Ugh you're such a buzz kill. Why am I the man in this friendship?" I said annoyed.
Liam gave me a "eat healthy or I'll kill you" look.
"Fine I'll have the Ceaser chicken salad with no tomatoes with a large Mango iced tea please." I ordered again.
"Happy now ya knit wit!" I say to Liam giving him a death stare.
"Very!" Liam smirked.
A few minutes had passed before our food came. It looked great and all but I still wanted that burger. "Dang it Liam!" I thought to myself. There was this awkward silence between us, and it really bugged me, until Liam broke it.
"So you wanna talk about?" He asked sipping his drink.
"Not right now!" I said not looking at him.
