I watched the people stroll on by,
As I lay in pain and misery.
I wished so much that I could fly,
And feel what it’s like to be free.
Rescue is what I was hoping for,
As I lay there on the ground.
But everyone just closed their doors,
And soon no one was around
. I thought how many other times
Society had acted this way.
Homeless people are begging for dimes
Each and every day.
There’s no use in wishing for fairness
Because, in truth, it doesn’t exist.
Society has lowered people’s awareness;
We low-lives are like mist.
And as I lay there, dying and alone,
I hoped you’d understand.
What it feels like for us to be on our own.
Society has had us banned.
