Diary Of A Pack Whore

Prologue

****72% of children that are abused by their parents will become bullies, victims of bullies, or both***

Miles Redman sat in the rocking chair holding his two year old daughter.  After years of being bullied and abused he was finally happy with not only his life, but with himself.  He had a mate who adored him, friends he could have fun with, and a pack he trusted and cared for.  Now with his daughter, Miles's life was complete.

After putting the toddler down for her nap, Miles tore into the box that had been calling to him all morning.  There was no address.  The only thing on the box was his name.  The only contents were a letter, a book, and a handful of pictures.

Sitting down next to the box Miles opened the letter.

My Dearest Miles,

I'm sure you hate me, just as you always thought I hated you.  I never hated you though.  You were always so sweet, so nice.  Your brothers loved you and would take on the world for you.  I was so jealous. 

If I could have, I would have traded lives with you in an instant.  If I could have, I would have loved to be your friend.

But we can't change the past or predict the future. Right now is all we got. So I will leave you with my hopes for you.

I hope you are happy, you deserve it more than anyone I knew.  I hope you like your present, I made it myself. And lastly, because it's the least important, I hope one day you can forgive me.

When Miles reached the end of the letter, he started over. Rhea Mars. Now that's a name he hadn't heard in awhile. She had bullied him his first two years of high school. It only stopped when she suddenly disappeared the middle of his sophomore year, which would have been her senior year.

Miles wondered why she was writing now and why she had gifted him with such a treasure. Thinking the answers might lie in the journal he grabbed the book and went to sit on the couch.
