Chapter 3

Jeremy ^^^

Anna's POV
"Hey, I hope I'm not bothering or anything." He said in a worringly tone. "Of course not, actually I was just about to make some eggs, I haven't really gone out to get groceries."

Why did I say that? He must have thought I was a girl giving too much information. "Great. You mind if I join you? Management is fixing my plumbing." He wanted to join me??? Crap crap, I haven't even cleared a space to eat or a space for company. Ugh why was I always a mess? "You want eggs?" I said not trying to sound like an idiot which I guess failed at considering it made him raise an eyebrow at me in curiosity. His brown eyes stared into me intensively making me shiver in my place. Why was he doing this to me? "I like eggs" He answered finally, making me raise an eyebrow.

His hair flung into his forehead making him run through his hair that captivated my eyes making me want him to do that to me.

Wait what... what was I thinking?? Ugh why did his hair have to be so perfect. Why did he have to be my neighbor.

"Or perhaps we can go to a restaurant." Was he asking me out? "I know you're new around here and I think it's better if you knew some good places to eat around here for future references" Nevermind. "Sure" I finally said maybe sounding a little disappointed. I probably shouldn't get this way, I'm not really here to be getting guys I'm here for art and that's my priority.

We made it to this small restaurant that probably held about 8 tables. It was very classy and had a warm homey feeling. It reminded me of the small restaurants I'd find in Downtown LA. God I was homesick already after a day. Looking at the menu I find great choices from salads, soups, fish, and even your basic dishes like pan pizza, chicken tenders and ohhh my favorite, grilled cheese. I think I know what I'm ordering. I smiled while I saw Jeremy still looking through the menu and I guess I was staring too hard that I didn't realize he saw me and chuckled. I felt my face feel warm and hid behind the menu.

"Are you too ready to order?" A young waitress probably in her early 20's with blonde hair and slim figure said only looking at Jeremy. Umm hello?? I'm here too! I wanted to say to her but I know I'd only look like some stupid girlfriend which I was not, both stupid nor his girlfriend. "Yes" I said. Her face turned to me trying to play off what happened.

Nope I caught you already lady.

After eating my delicious grilled cheese I saw the bill and by instinct got it. Jack's eyes lit up with embarrassment and tried grabbing it from my hands. "I got this" I said smiling. "No, please Anna I invited you I should be the one to pay for it. Please?" He asked in a soft voice making me say something I'd never thought I'd say to another gorgeous man. "Nope, I got this. You can get the next one." Crap. Now did I just ask him out? "Are you asking me out?" He said smoothly. Shit. "No, it's simply a compromise" I tried to say in a similar voice.

We left the restaurant and it seemed to already be late. "What are you doing tomorrow?" He asked. "Hopefully get some work done and unpack. I still have to build my bead set." I said making an ugly face when I said build bed set. That shit of a bed needed an upgrade. It made loud squeaks ever since dad bought it when I was seventeen. But still it got the job done by getting me through the night. "Can I help?" I heard him ask. "What? No, I can't ask you to do that." Please? I'd love to and I enjoy spending time with you. "

Why were his words so mesmerizing? I didn't know what to say, I definetly needed help building the dumb bed but I didn't want to make him go through the trouble. And as if he read my mind he said "It's no trouble Anna." Giving me a reassuring smile I gave up in defeat. "Okay. But I buy the snacks." He smiled like a little boy receiving candy. I couldn't help but smile and I saw him come closer. We finally made it to our floor and next to each other's apartments. I saw him coming closer to me. Woah... what's he doing? My heart started beating and rushing through, why was I so nervous? Just then he came in for a hug and smiled. "I had a fantastic night Anna, good night." I sighed in relief but also in a disappointed way, why? "So did I. Good night Jeremy. " I said giving a warm smile.
