THE NEXT MORNING:
I sat up in bed pulling the sheets off, dragging my feet across the wooden floor towards my bathroom. I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, straighten my hair, after dying it of course and walked out refreshed.

I opened my closet doors, and peeked around my clothes desiring what to wear. I finally decided on a black and white chevron print skirt, with a black crop top. I pulled my white converse and put some lotion on my legs and arms.

I looked in the mirror and looked pleased,I grabbed some lipgloss and applied some on my lips. I grabbed my bag shoving my charged phone in the front pocket along with its charger. I grabbed my "lucky" ring from my dresser and walked out my bedroom door.

My "lucky" ring isn't really a lucky ring. I was my moms wedding ring then she got a divorce and everything went down hill. She left my dad my brother who is 13 years old and I. She left 3 years ago. That ring is the only ring I have left of her, and I plan on keeping it just so I never forget her.

"ALYSSA!!" I heard my brother Gabriel or Gabe for short yelled from downstairs.

"COMING!!" I shouted back running down the stairs.

"Dad said to hurry up." He told me grabbing his shoulder pads.

"Well I'm down here now, Why do you need your football pads now?" I asked
confused he usually has his football practice after school.

"I'm trying out for the school team." He simply said

"But you already play for the city." I pointed out.

"Dad said I can do both." He answered swinging his backpack over his shoulder.

"Okay we'll get in the car." I told him.

"Your not the boss, remember I'm the one who called you down I could have left you there and you would have been late." He said sticking his tongue out.

"Rude much?" I sarcastically said walking out the front door with him and stepping into the at where my dad was waiting.

"Wow new record, this is the shortest you spent getting ready." My dad teased as if it was an accomplishment.

"Yup, beating it day by day." I smiled

I can honestly say my dad was the best dad he really straighten up when my mom left. He managed his steady job as a family restaurant owner downtown. There he serves almost anything he feels like cooking. Its mostly simple American food, but its the best in town.

My brother and I help out around the restaurant, but not constantly my Dad wants us to focus on school.

Speaking of school I just got dropped off. I waved bye to my Dad and walked to the breakfast cart. I grabbed one of the breakfast brownies that they were giving out and placed it in my side bag pocket. I took my phone out from my bag and checked the time. The bell should ring in about a minute or so. I started my regular walk to class.

"Good morning." I greet my English teacher walking in to the class room as the bell rings. I take a seat in front of
Destiny. Once I set my bag down I turn around toward her.

"So did you hear anything about practice?" I asked her

"Yeah they got a replacement Ms.Bianca is still sick,But they said something about us needing practice." Destiny answered. "they aren't wrong." I said back." Turning forward again

"Hello to you too." Giselle said from the desk to my right. "oh sorry, didn't see you there." I told her apologizing.

"It's fine I know I'm this amazing ninja with some great skill." She played around.

"Sure you are." I told her.

"I will believe that when I see you in you ninja state." Destiny said leaning into our conversation.

"You can't dummy,I'm a ninja you can't see a ninja." Giselle pointed out.

"Whatever." Destiny answered back.

"Morning ladies." Alex smiled walking passed our desks and taking the seat to my left.

"Morning." We synced.

"Class hasn't started yet?" Alex asked

"Nope, Mrs.Gill told us she had a few papers to grade and when she's done she will give us our essay assignment." Destiny answered

"When did she say that?" I questioned Destiny

"When you and Giselle were talking about ninjas." She said in a duh tone.

"Anyways are you guys going to practice today?" Alex asked.

"Yeah we got a replacement coach." I told Alex. "Well I'm expecting some cheers for me." He said

"Nope. don't expect anything." Giselle told him.

"And why's that?" he asked almost testing us.

"Because, we aren't your personal cheerleaders." I told him.

"Please?" He asked

"Nope." Destiny said crossing her arms.

"Please?" He asked again this time pouting his lip.

"Still no." Giselle said

Alex was about to open his mouth again but Mrs.Gill stood up and started talking about the essay we needed to do. It wasn't really an essay more like a journal page.

The class started to work quietly while Mrs.Gill sat at her desk doing who knows what.

"I was almost done with my first page when I felt a tap on my arm.

I turned towards Alex since he was the one who tapped my arm.

"What?" I whispered

"Here." He smiled handing me a folded paper.

I smiled back and took the paper. I turned my attention to the note and started to read.

"PLEASE? Alyssa your the only one that didn't say no."

I rolled my eyes me wrote "fine"
I placed the note on his desk and he quickly took it.

He smiled as he read it and scribbled something down. he placed it on the corner of my desk. And I took it carefully making sure Mrs. Gill didn't see.

"THANK YOU!!! I LOVE YOU ALYSSA!! <3"

I blushed at the words. wait I am not suppose to be blushing I can't like Alex he's just a guy who's my friend and nothing more there can never be nothing more.
