"So you just agreed to cheer for him?" Destiny asked as we walked down the halls to our next class.
"Well yeah he passed me this note asking and I felt bad so I just agreed." I shrugged it was nothing really.
"I don't think you should do it." Giselle said putting in her opinion as well.
"Fine I won't cheer for him." I said annoyed.
"Really?" Destiny asked shocked
"No not really, I already promised what's the big deal anyways?" I asked
"People might get the wrong idea of you two." Giselle spoke
"They will not, we are cheerleaders isn't cheering on the team out job?" I asked sarcastically
"Yes to cheer on the team not individual players, who just so happened to have a major crush on you." Destiny said widening her eyes.
"Alex doesn't have a crush on my." I said rolling my eyes.
"Sure he doesn't." Giselle joked
"He doesn't, now goodbye." I said walking off to my next class math which I have with Max my boyfriend since last year.
"Hey babe." Max said giving me a quick peck on the cheek.
"Morning." I told him as I sat down at the desk next to him.
"So do you wanna hang out after school together?" Max asked fixing his blonde hair.
"Uhmm, I have practice after school, and I really need the practice." I explained
"Can you skip? I'm skipping football practice." He stated
"Aren't you the captain?" I asked
"Yeah, but that's one of the perks being captain means your coach's favorite, so I can skip whenever I want." Max said cockily
"Well, lucky for you. But I'm not the team captain so I have to actually show up." I said pulling out my binder.
"Come on, Please we never hang out anymore." Max said pouting and crossing his arms.
"But I already promised people I would be there." I said once again trying to make another excuse.
"Who's more important, those other people or me, please its just a one time thing." Max said
"I don't know." I said unsure.
"I will give you till the end of class." Max stated then turned back to the front of his seat.
The while class period I was thinking of pros and cons of if I skip practice.
A pro I will spend time with Max. A con I would miss practice and not know the routine. Another con I would have to lie to my friends since I already said I was going. Another pro well there is no other pro.
But if I don't skip Max would probably breakup with me. That's it I made my decision. I'm going to skip. What's life if you don't take a few risk here and there, right?I pulled my phone out and texted Gisselle and Destiny. they reacted the same way on how I predicated suspicious and shock like "What?!Why?!" But I told them my mom called and reminded me I have a doctors check up for my clearance packet. Now to text Alex, because well I told him I would cheer for him.
Text messages: Alex and Alyssa
Alyssa- Hey Alex sorry I can't make practice today, my mom reminded me that I need my check up for my clearance packet😔Alex- oh that's fine, I can't tell your coach if you want
Alyssa- no that's fine Destiny and Gisselle have it covered. Just thought you should know since I promised I would be there
Alex- it's fine, you just have to cheer for me during the games.😉
Alyssa-Deal 😊 I will see you tomorrow.
Alex- Actually I was wondering if you could help me study 😁
Alyssa- with what?
Alex- This may seem dumb but I need help with my writing assignment
Alyssa- That's not dumb, and sure but can we just meet up in the morning tomorrow in the library and we can study at lunch.
Alex- that's fine, as long as I get help, see you then oh and you will be missed at practice.
Alyssa- no prob and thanks.
End of text messages
"Max, I'm going with you." I whispered
"Great I knew you couldn't resist." He smirked
"Ok so what are we doing?" I asked
"My friend is throwing this party." Max answered
"A party?" I asked
"Yeah. Every cool kid would be there." Max answered
"What if we go on a date and catch up." I suggested
"Fine we can be all Girly, but I'm picking next time." Max said
"Fine, what ever floats your boat." I answered
I am honestly re thinking this. Max wanted to go to a party and knowing his friends there probably would be drugs, alcohol, and worse things there. I am not taking any chances with that.
