Wendigo Part 6

On the car ride over to meet up with Haley I wrote down everything from my dream in my journal, so I wouldn't forget. I don't know why, but I felt like what the woman told me in my dream was very important. Then I began to sketch something new. It didn't look like much yet, but I figured I'd work on it later, because Dean said, "We're here."

I put away my journal into my backpack and put it on before getting out of the car. I made sure to pack a first aid kit, flash lights, bottles of water, flare gun, some food a couple weapons and my journal. You know the essentials when going into the wilderness.

Then Dean came up to me and asked,"Did you pack your meds?"

"Yes, I have my epipens, but I don't think this monster is gonna be attacking us with peanuts Dee."I said while smiling.

"I know, just humor me. Ease my mind." Dean said while looking at me with serious expression on his face.

"Consider it eased, I packed it already."I said with a smile on my face trying to reassure him.

"Thank you. Now let's go." Dean said while walking towards Haley.

I nodded and walked with Sam as we followed Dean.

When we approached Haley I could see her and Ben talking to a man who I assumed was the guide she hired. I overheard Haley calling him Roy.

"You guys got room for three more?" Dean asked as we walked towards Haley.

"Wait, you want to come with us?" Haley asked looking slightly confused by our presence.

"Who are they?" Roy said while looking at us then focusing his eyes on me. I didn't like the way he was looking at me, so I hid behind Sammy.

"Apparently this is all the park service could muster up for the search and rescue."Haley replied to Roy.

Sam grabbed my hand and we walked past everyone.

" You're rangers?" Roy asked while eyeing all three of us.

"That's right." Dean replied.

"What about the little one?" Roy asked while pointing to me. If there's one thing I can't stand it's being called small, tiny or little. I glared at Roy while crossing my arms over my chest.

"She's part of the young park rangers in training program."Dean answered looking right at Roy.

"You brought a trainee? I think these two kids should be left at home. That's where they'll be the safest." Roy said while eyeing Ben and I.

I smirked then whispered only loud enough for Sammy to hear, "Yeah right."

Haley looked at Dean then said,"Are you hiking out in biker boots and jeans?"

Dean looked at his shoes and jeans then smirked while saying, "Well, sweetheart, I don't do shorts."

I leaned towards Sammy with a big grin on my face and said," Can you imagine Dean with shorts."

Sam and I laughed until Roy said,

"What, you think this is funny? It's dangerous back country out there. Her brother might be hurt."

Roy glared at my brothers and I. Which made me roll my eyes.

Dean glared back at Roy while saying, "Believe me, I know how dangerous it can be. We just wanna help them find their brother, that's all."

Then Dean walked past Sam and I motioning for us to follow him. Sam grabbed my hand and we followed Dean.

It had been about an hour or two since we began hiking, but if felt like a lot longer than that. Annoying Roy was in the lead, then Dean, Haley Ben, Me and Sammy bringing up the rear. I was happy I didn't have to be anywhere near Roy he was really beginning to get on my nerves and I didn't like the way he was treated my brothers.
