Kirsten's POV
-------------------------
It's been two weeks since Cameron almost died. Linus has gone crazy. He keeps calling Cameron at least 13 times a day. This morning he called, texted, even emailed Cameron. I called Linus and told him to cool his hot head and that I would watch over Cameron. I drove up to his apartment and knocked on his door. He didn't answer.

"Cameron open up!!", I said, still banging on the door. There was a spare key he left for me under the doormat. I opened the door and I saw him spread out on his couch on his computer.

"Hey, stretch"

"Hey girlfriend, why didn't you answer the door?"

Cameron took the blanket off to reveal his stuck toe under the coffee table. I cracked up. I helped him unhook his toe and sat on the couch beside him.

"So, what are you doing here, stretch?"

"I'm checking on you for Linus."

"Oh my god," Cameron showed me his phone," Linus was blowing my phone up! No wonder it got quiet when you came.", he joked.
I looked into Cameron's eyes. They didn't look like they were hiding secrets. His eyes didn't look like they were ashamed of the scar. His eyes looked, open.

Cameron's POV
-----------------------
Wow. I mean wow. Kirsten is different from before. She laughs more and talks more in a more humanly greeting. I found myself looking at her eyes. I leaned in. I was so sure of her hesitating, but she didn't. I titled my head as she did hers. Then I pressed my lips against hers which were soft and sweet tasting. My nose touched her cheek and I smelled the fragrance of roses.

Kirsten's POV
-----------------------
Is this happening? Am I really kissing Cameron? I kept asking myself that question until he moved his hand and put it on my cheek. I stopped doubting that I was kissing him. The thing that scared me now was that I was able to kiss him back. I tucked my hand under his messy hair. It felt like was on a bunch of pillows, but I was still on a roller coaster ready to throw up, at least that's how I felt. Then my timer went off on my phone in my back pocket. I jumped and broke away from the kiss.

"Dang it!"

"What?", he asked.

"We were supposed to be at work 17 minutes ago!"

Cameron's POV
------------------------
We walked into the lab and the first thing that happened was Camille jump in my face.

"Cameron? You're late. And so are you Kirsten.", she said with a smug look.

"Cameron are you ok?! I was so worried about you. I can't lose my best friend!!" Linus exclaimed as he hugged Cameron.

"Yes, I'm fine."

"Goodkin, in my office, now!!", yelled Maggie.

I walked into the office giving Kirsten a pleaded look to come with me, but by the time she looked at me Maggie closed the door

"Maggie, what's wrong?"

"Cameron, why are you late?"

"Why is it a big deal?!", I snapped.

"Cameron your never late and you told me when you first started working here that if you were ever late you would have either been dead or you were injured."

"And....", I replied.

"And you don't look hurt to me! Why are you late!!"

I wanted to tell Maggie, but she would just think I was a slacker that was late to work just because he was having a make out session. Besides I wasn't sure how I felt about the kiss. Man, I think I have temporal dysplasia.

"Well why aren't you getting on Kirsten, she was late too!!

"Because Kirsten is Kirsten. If I told her to be on time she wouldn't listen to me anyway, but you promised you wouldn't be late, so again, why are you late?

"I accidentally knocked my shower curtain down and it collapsed on my knee. I called Kirsten to get it off and she did. When she did I couldn't find my wallet so she looked with me and I found it in my sock drawer. And that is why I was late.", I lied.

Maggie doubted it was the truth but took it anyway. I didn't have the courage to tell her. I didn't know what to tell Maggie. I couldn't let her know the truth.
