CHAPTER 10

Squid's POV
Squid woke up hugging Amy. Not a bad way to wake up, he decided, but it was a bit strange since they were both squids. Oh well.

He'd just dozed off again when Amy slid out of his grasp, and looked him straight in the eye.

"Morning." he smirked, and pulled her back down for a hug.
"Squuuuid." she grumbled as she extracted herself from his grip "we should've been up ages ago, we have to find your party hat."

Squid didn't reply, so she grunted and swam over to Stampy and Squaishey, who'd also been spooning, and poked them both awake, followed by Lee.

"Wha?" asked Stampy groggily.
"We've got to find Squid's party hat." Amy replied. This seemed to instantly wake everyone else up, as they all started talking and gesturing wildly.

"Woah, stop!" Squid shouted, before anyone could poke his eye out. They all fell quiet, and looked at Squid, who turned to Stampy asking, "Well? You're our leader. What's the plan?"

Stampy sighed, and rubbed his eyes tiredly.
"I don't know." he admitted.
"Well well well, you really are all hopeless, aren't you?"

Hit the target.

"Show yourself!" yelled Stampy, paddling himself around.
"I'd rather not." Target chuckled. "It'd make this speaker that I installed into every likely place you might go a bit pointless, wouldn't it?'
"These speakers. Grammar, Target."
"Whatever." he shot back, giving Squid time to notice the small speaker (that was magically working underwater?) in the top left corner of the cave.

"Anyway, if you don't play nice, I won't give you the next one of your presents."
"Presents?"
Hit the Target laughed coldly, as if enjoying the power he held over them, then leisurely continued "One of our little friends."
