Gabe's pov...

What does she want now? She knows I don't want to talk to her.

I arrived at the park and she was sitting on the swing, her back facing me. I sit next to her and she smiles at me.

"What do you want?" Her smile faded away.

"I-I've noticed that you've been avoiding me lately."

"Yea and?"

"I wanna know why."

I stare at the ground for a moment.

"Because I don't feel that we should be in contact with each other that often."

"I meant why you broke up with me." She looks at me with tears, a pang of guilt strikes my heart.

"Cuz I didn't like how you paid attention to all of the other guys." I look up. "And not me."

She wipes her tears. "Your selfish you know that."

"What?" Selfish? I was selfish. I loved her more than anything. I just felt that she didn't feel the same.

"You didn't stop to think that maybe that they were my friends and that I loved you? That maybe I had a life beyond our relationship?" She gets up and stomps away. I look at the ground. Maybe she was right.

Charlie pov....

I lie on my bed again, scrolling through my contacts. I reach Hunter. I call him.

H: "Hey Charlie!"
C:"Hi."
H:"Are you crying?"
C:"N-No"
H:"If you insist. What's up?"
C:"I just wanted somebody to talk to"
H: "Im flattered"
C: *laughs*
H:"We should hang out after school tomorrow"
C: "Sounds good."
H: "cool see ya tomorrow. "

We hang up. I cried again. I hated Gabe. Hate was a strong word but that's the word I would use for him.

"Hey..." I spin around. Mom was sitting on my bed. "I heard about Gabe."

I slowly nod and sit with her. I rest my head on her shoulder.

"He doesn't deserve a fantabulous girl like you." I smile and hug her.

"What's for dinner?" I say.

"I'm making spaghetti."

"Yay!" I raise my arms up and yawn. I more tired than ever.

I follow her downstairs to the kitchen table where Dad and Christian had set up plates and silverware. I sit down in between Crawford and Christian. They smile at me awkwardly.

We say grace and everyone digs in.

"So how was everybody's day?" My dad says.

Crawford shrugs. Christian shrugs. "Fine I guess. " I say.

My parents nod.

"So how was the...party...Charlie? " I froze. I shovel food into my mouth, avoiding the question.

"Party? What party? I haven't been to a party. What's a party?" I glare at Christian.

"Oh I think we both know that you snuck out last night."

"Oh hush. Can't a girl have a bit of fun in her life?" My mom winks at me. I wink back.

"Whatever." My dad says. He always says that when he knows he'll loose that argument.

After dinner, I left my two brothers to clean the kitchen and went upstairs.

I opened my laptop and went on Skype. Lily didn't answer. I stared at the ceiling, thinking about Hunter. He had this face that once you saw him, you immediately knew that he was a nice person. That's what I loved about him.
