How Pokémon Created Austin, TX

Mew

When the egg hatched, a small pink creature came out of it. Its head was made up of a short and wide snout, triangular ears and large, blue eyes. Its body was small, with short arms that ended with three-fingered paws, large hind legs, and feet with oval markings on the soles, and a long, thin tail. It looked up and simply said, "Mew," and ran off. The scientists just looked there dumbfounded, as the Mew would go behind bushes and after a few second, pop out with more creatures with animal forms. There were ones that seemed like they were lit on fire, yet they seemed not to burn. There were others that went straight to Lady Bird Lake and just swam. Then there were ones that were full of vegetation and seemed to be so quick to rebuild the forest.

Austin and Lady Bird agreed that the new land that was being created was to be named Austin. With the help of the new creatures, they started to build a city that would sustain a great population. The grass type creatures had the main roll of getting lumber and tending to the crops. The water types helped with the irrigation and the cooling of the steel in metal works. The fire types did the bricks and made enough heat to melt the ores that the rock type mined.

The work was smooth and fast. The creatures did not speak anything but one word each. There was the small fire creature that waked bipedal, with a humanoid figure, and that had a fire, lit in the end of his tail say, "Char." Then there was the yellow, electric, squirrel-like creature that powered their equipment saying, "Pika." Each of them said a word and Austin figured that that was part of their name and added a suffix. Some of them were: Charmander, Pikachu, Squirtle, Pidgey, Squirtle, Rattata, and so many more. They recorded 151 including Dialga with 17 types.

Austin found them very interesting and just recorded all of them and what, as he found out, evolved from what. Lady Bird looked at the scientific part and could not figure out how Mew, at the size of a foot, could hatch out of an egg the size of a cantaloupe. Lady Bird was almost never seen and was always working in the lab. The creatures were always playful and looked as if they had their own community. They were peaceful and did not harm any of the families.

    One month later, as they were preparing their musical day for the Roar of Time, the families were getting their health checked by Chansey. Chansey was a normal-type creature and had special healing abilities. Brianna was first up because she was acting very strange lately and was eating the weirdest combinations of food. On this sacred day, they found out that Tyler had gotten Brianna pregnant. The word was out and Lady Bird heard. When he came out of the lab, for the first time in a long time, he had a infuriating look on his face, a bandage around his arm, and a red and white ball in his hand.
