I have lived in a big town called Kansas City my whole life from the day I was born on June 1st till now. My parents passed away a week ago in a fire and I still remember it like it was yesterday.
"EMMA GET OUT, THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE!" Those were the last word I heard from my mom because right when I heard that I ran. I grabbed my little brother and ran outside... I waited for my mom and dad but they never came. I called the fire department and they started coming to the house and that's when I knew...I was never going to see them again. We stayed with my best friend Amanda for the week while we tried to find my aunt and tell her the bad news. I will never forgive myself if only I grabbed them to.
My brother and I are moving in with our aunt in a town called Pine Valley it's close to the woods in the middle of nowhere. I never thought this day would come when I would have to change schools. I liked my old friends now I will have to start over..only thing is I'm too shy that I don't think I could make any friends. To make it even worse is it's high school in the middle of the year so I will have to start over at a new school in the middle of the year.
My aunts not mean she is pretty cool for the most part she doesn't hang out with us as much as our parents did but at least we get the house to ourselves.
"Emma wake up, you gotta get to school," my aunt said. I crawled out of bed and I instantly felt the cold air hit my warm skin. I walked to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed for my first day. I grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. I took a shower and did natural makeup not too much but I made myself actually pretty decent looking. When I was finished I walked down stairs to get me some pop tarts and walked to school. Everything was in walking distance in this town so it wasn't that far. Although it was kinda cold I made it to school and there was heating in there.
I walked to the counselor office to get my schedule and he gave it to me and my locker combination and number. I found my locker and put my stuff in it and grabbed the few things I needed for my first class. I got there kinda early so I could get used to the school so I just stood there looking around. I then decided to take a small tour of the school. "Look out" was what I heard before I ran into HIM.
Xavier's POV:
I was walking around with my posey of friends and walking towards the cheerleaders. I should tell you that I'm a werewolf and most of the people here are to. I am the leaders son and when I'm 18 I can take over. While I was listening to my friend, Zach talk about his party that he is having this Friday night. Then I saw this beautiful girl walking around looking at everything like she was new. I think she is the new girl who's parents passed away. But that's not the point she was beautiful and I was absolutely in love at first sight. I didn't realize I stopped till Zach yelled "look out." That's when reality hit and the new girl ran into me, before we could fall I caught her and she landed on me.
She looked at my face and her eyes widened and she started to blush. I noticed it while she was trying to hide it and she pushed herself off of me while trying to apologize. I told her not to worry with a smile.
Emma's POV:
"I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention," I tried to apologize. "Don't worry," he said with a smile. "My name's Xavier by the way, what's yours?" he said. "Emma," I answered "I just moved here I'm really sorry again." My my my is he hot... I think Xavier is the bad boy of the school. He gives that kinda impression anyway. He just has power radiating off of him I can feel it and I don't know what it is but I think he's...well there just isn't any words for it. I feel like if any girl came close to him I would snap her head off.
Xavier and I talked for a while before we went to first class and we actually have 1st period together. We walked to class together and he offered to hold my bag but I told him it was fine. I should describe what he looks like though. He has brown hair and brown eyes he is 6" taller than me and he has a perfect complexion. He is just perfect, while we were talking we learned a few things about each other. Like he loves the color black and he's smart but keeps it a secret and he is dating the head cheerleader but he made clear it was only for publicity. I told him he shouldn't have to do anything he didn't want to do. He smiled and told me he knew but he was waiting for the right girl to come around and he thinks he found her. I will admit that part hurt a lot but it shouldn't. I mean I just met this guy.
We got to class and the teacher saw him and bowed his head. I wondered why but I just let it pass and sat next to him. Everyone looked at us in shock or jealousy. That's when this slutty looking girl walked in, wearing this skirt way to short to be school appropriate and a shirt that barely covered her. She walked directly towards Xavier and sat on his lap. He just looked forward and his eyes turned black in anger and I thought he was going to murder her. Instead he said nothing and she got up and asked who I was. "Emma, my name is Emma.." I told her. "Well Emma why are you sitting next to my boyfriend?" She replied with a smirk. "I'm sorry would you like me to move.." I asked.
She smiled and nodded. I got up but Xavier grabbed my leg which cause little electric shots through my body to stop me and he told her to take a step outside to talk to him. He turned to me and told me not to move. I sat back down and they walked outside while the teacher walked in to start class.
Xavier's POV:
"What the hell is your problem?" she yelled out.
"That is my mate but she doesn't know yet because she is human." I told her. "Well your my boyfriend and she can't just show up and take you," she told me. I shook my head and told her it was over. I am so glad it's over I couldn't stand her.
We walked back in and she walked back to the rest of the cheerleaders and started crying. She told them everything while I walked back to my beautiful mate. She smelled like honey and vanilla. Her long blonde hair and blue eyes made me weak at the knees and I just wanted to grab her and kiss her. This is perhaps the best day of school but this doesn't always last. I wonder what would happen when I told her I'm a werewolf and she was my mate and soon-to-be Luna. Time will only tell....
