"I'm guessing that's the place." Vic says while we pass a house that has cars parked all around the street and people pouring out of every opening in the house."I guess so." I answer trying to take everything in. It's very overwhelming to see all these kids with red cups and the blarring music and flashing lights. I shut my eyes to try and calm myself down. Vic goes and parks down the street in front of someone's house.
We get out of the car and start walking towards the house. The closer we get the more knotted my stomach becomes. You know how earlier I said sometimes I like going to parties with Vic, well this is not one of those times.
"You ready?" Vic asks me as we stand at the top of the driveway looking down at the house.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I say letting out a sigh. She nods at me before grabbing my hand and leading me towards the house. When we open the door I get hit by a wave of music that nearly breaks my eardrums.
Vic holds onto my hand tightly as she leads me through the house. I look down at my feet the whole time, trying to see where I'm going and not trip. She leads me into the kitchen and lets go of me. I look around and see the kitchen is just a long counter with an island across from it.
"Here." she says handing me a red cup that has foam pouring out of the top. "It will calm you down." she says to me. I smell the strange liquid before putting it to my lips and taking a little sip. Vic pushes the bottom of my cup up so I'm forced to drink it all so it doesn't spill all over me.
When I'm done Vic fills it back up and we walk into the living room were the majority of people are. Vic starts telling me how she wants to find the hosts. I ignore her and around, I then find some couches in the corner of the room. I move towards them and Vic follows closely behind me.
Right as I get to them 3 boys flop down onto them. They're all laughing while I stare at them angrily.
"Um excuse me but you seem to have stolen our seats." I say vigorously tapping one of them on the shoulder. He turns and the other 2 boys look over at me.
"What?" he laughs.
"Sorry I forgot I had to dumb it down for you to understand. Hey dipshit you're sitting in my spot." I yell to him. He raises an eyebrow at me as the other boys burst out in laughter. Vic starts pulling at my shoulder as I stare down at the boy.
"Sorry she tends to get angry easily when she's drunk." Vic apologizes. They all shrug at us.
"You can sit if you'd like." one says moving over. Me and Vic look at each other before sitting down next to the boys. I place my drink on the table in front of us and sit back.
"What are you names?" the one next to me asks us.
"I'm Vic."
"I'm Alex."
"Those are some odd names." he remarks. I look over at him and see he has a cocky smirk on his face.
"Alex and Vic are short for Alexandra and Victoria." I say to him. "What are your names?" I ask looking at the boys.
"I'm Jai, this is my twin brother Luke and our older brother Beau." Jai says introducing them. They wave to us causing me to smile back. When they say their names Victoria seems to perk up a bit. Oh no .
"So you guys are the hosts?" she asks. They all nod and I grab my drink and sit back against the couch. I start sipping my drink and zone out as Vic starts asking them all these stupid questions. She just found her new toys.
"You look bored." Jai says sitting back in the couch and starring at me. My head is all fuzzy from the alcohol but for some reason I can block out all the background noise and just concentrate on Jai.
