Jenny stop moving your head." I say to my sister getting frustrated with her while I'm braiding her hair.
"Sorry Alex." she says straightening her head. I take a breath trying to relax myself because I'm letting all my anger out on Jenny. My parents just finished yelling at me for staying out late and not telling anyone where I was going.
They gave me a warning and I didn't get in any serious trouble but they made Vic go home and that upset me the most because they know about her family problems. And now I need to go to a stupid dinner party surrounded by stupid snotty adults and I have to keep a stupid smile on my face even though I want to punch my parents in the face.
Well not really, I would never hurt my parents but I am very upset with them. As I'm braiding Jenny's hair I hear my phone go off next to me. Jenny picks it up and looks at the screen.
"It's from an unknown number." she says putting the phone above her head so I can see the screen. The message simply says "We should go dancing again." Jai.
I quickly finish Jenny's hair and grab my phone.
To Jai:
Maybe another time
"Alexandra, Jennifer. The guests are arriving." my mother calls to us from downstairs. I stand up and flatten my white dress before grabbing Jenny's hand and walking downstairs. We walk through the house and walk out to the back where a fair amount of people are already outside.
Some kids Jenny's age are in the corner of our yard were we have a swing and a little waterfall with a pond at the bottom of it and Jenny runs towards them. I look around for anyone my age but see that everyone is either 40 years older than me or 10 years younger. Great.
Everyone looks so clean and sophisticated in their white dresses and white polo shirts with tan khakis. I walk over to the drink table and pour myself some champagne. I sip from it and check my phone. I got another text from Jai. I go to check it but have my phone snatched out of my phone.
"No phones." Alice says taking my phone from me and walking inside. Bitch.
"She did the same thing to me." Jamie says walking over and standing next to me. Jamie is only a year younger than me but he seems like a twin to me since we're so close in age. He's a few inches taller than me even in heels and he is the definition of a jock except he has a heart and a brain.
"I hate when she does that." I growl taking a sip of my drink. Jamie and I stand near the food table watching everyone walk around and gossip.
"Yeah but you know she always gets like this when other people are around. She trys to act like and adult." he says taking my drink out of my hand and taking a sip.
"She is an adult." I laugh watching my sister trying to quiet down the loud group of ten year olds.
"Yeah but she doesn't need to act like mom." he mumbles. I look over and look up at Jamie. He seems to have such a big resentment against our mother and I can't figure out why. Maybe its a phase? I should look into that.
"Look who it is." Jamie says causing me to follow his gaze and look over at our gate door. I see Andrew Lockwood walk through the door followed by his 2 younger brothers. Andrew is probably the biggest douche' I've ever met.
I've known him since birth and our parents have been trying to get us together since that time too. I hate him, he's so arrogant and treats girls like dirt. My siblings despise him but my parents believe that we're soul mates. Ha more like his family has money and my family have money so we're obviously perfect together.
