Prologue:
In the world where squid-kid's roam is a wonderful utopia called Inkopolis. These Squid-kid's are called Inklings, amazing creatures that have the ability to take a human form and a squid form for quick traveling. But another force of evil called the Octarians have taken the source of power to Inkopolis the Zapfish! They have taken them down to Octo Valley to power thier great Octo Weapons.
Inkopolis:
Every Inkling is greeted by the very popular pop stars Squid Sisters Callie and Marie. These are the two wonderful girl's who broadcast the day's news such as, the area's availible to play on in thier turf war's and splatfest results. There are also shop's located around the area to get gear and new weapons to use in combat and to splat your way throughout the arena.
Turf Wars:
The Inklings like to take part of an event called Turf War's where there are four vs four tournament's to see who can claim the most turf with thier color but, it also seems that the Inklings can adapt thier colors to match the conflict.
