Born This Way

The Silence

I awake on a cold linoleum floor. The walls surrounding me are completely white. I slowly start to sit up, a silky black dress that I appear to be wearing starts to fall down a bit more as I stand. The dress is strapless and goes down past my bare feet and drags across the floor. The room that had seemed normal has suddenly turned into a long hallway, and there is a man standing at the end of it. I can tell that he is also dressed in all black against all of the white. He starts to walk toward me. His face is becoming clearer. A jog. A run. He starts to sprint up to me, showing magnificent claws and sharp teeth. He runs to me. Once he reaches me, he lunges at me and pushes me straight through the flooring. Falling... I'm falling.

The man stares down at me in delight, seeing as he has finally gotten rid of his disgrace. I plummet down into a shimmering lake, with a girl who has shimmering red hair. She is dressed in a black dress as well, except hers has a tulip skirt and her straps are made of floral lace. She does not notice my presence. She starts to run as more people in black approach her, shooting at her with tranqalising darts. A poof of smoke appears and she quickly has turned into a beautiful black wolf with shocking green eyes and she continues to run. One person finally catches up to her and shoves a cloth at her nose. She falls unconscious and slowly starts to transform back into a human. One person accidently hits me with the butt of their gun, sending me flying down through the water.

My silky black hair is floating aimlessly through the water. A blonde haired and blue eyed women passes me. She is dressed in a white dress quite like mine stained with blood. Scratches cover her body. She tries to redeem any breath that she has left, but it is no use. The water slowly fills her lungs, and she is consumed by the water. Her dead body floats under the water, blood streaming from her lifelessness. I quickly swim to the shores, but I am greeted by a differen't scene.

A little blonde girl is sitting on the cement floor of a glass container. She smiles at me when she spots me. I return the gesture. She starts to dissapear, but I end up by her side, in the cage with her. The questions that she ask sting like never before. "Why did you leave us all to die? You should have protected us, Scorch. Are we some of your victums, too? Do our deaths please you? You shouldn't have let our ability's escape us so easily. You're a failer, Scorch, a failer." I tried to respond, I try to apologize, I try to say every word that can express how this child has just taken my heart and ripped it in half. Bit by bit. No words come out. I am only greeted with silence as the girl grows into a thirty year old women, and takes my head, smashing it onto the glass that lies before us intill my body rests lifeless on the cement floor. Blood pouring out of my dead body as my soul stares at it in shock. It turns it's head to me, saying "Why didn't you save her, Schorch? Why?!" She lunges at me, ready for a bite.

I wake with a start. I am lying in my bed, it is quite dark outside, so it must be late. I should call Rose and Ali in, they'll help me. As I approach the door and open it, I find my two sisters staring at me, about to knock. Fresh fear in their eyes.

Rose runs in with Ali, and they both lie on my bed. I reclose the door and walk over to join them. Making sure that we each have a pillow and are all covered by my comforter. I leave the light on for extra comfort, and we all dose back into a dream less sleep.
