HLARENY'S POV
Cathy just got here and just looked at me crazy.
"How are you keeping up?" I asked sitting next to her
"I'm fine anyways let's talk about you, what's going on? What's crazy?" She asked
"August uhm asked me to kiss him last night" I replied playing with my fingers
She lifted my face up and smiled.
"Did you do it?" She asked smiling
I sighed
"You didn't right?" She asked
I nod my head
She shook her head "Hlareny, you are afraid of love" She said
What?
"Wait..what?" I asked
She nod her head and sighed.
"I think you're afraid of making love I mean you're afraid of someone making love to you and that is not right" She replied
I kept quiet.
"Why didn't you kiss him?" She asked
I couldn't answer
"Hlareny answer me!" she said
"I don't know Cathy!" I responded
She shook her head "Hlareny, you can't fall in love if you can't love, you can't make love if you ain't in love and you can never find love if you're afraid of love" Cathy said
I shook my head "Cathy I can't..I can't trust a man" I said
She looked at me"Hlareny, not every man is like your ex, I can tell that August really really likes you, and I think he also knows that you're afraid of being in a relationship" She said
I felt myself tear up. "Cathy I try to find love but I'm afraid that it might happen again, I went through a lot and I can't let that happen again, I feel so ruined with these scars I have, all of those memories will still stay on me Cathy,,I don't know if I can do this" I said as tears were rolling down my cheeks
She hugged me.
"Hlareny, I know this is hard on you because you hardly cry..I never seen you cry even though a lot has happened , you stayed strong.. Hlareny...you are physically, emotionally and mentally scarred. I know this is very hard to handle, but Hlareny not every man on this world has a evil heart. I can tell by the way August handles you, talks to you and the way he feels about you..he knows that you're afraid and he's gonna help you and heal you" Cathy said rubbing my back
"I know but who will want me? A broken piece of--" Cathy cut me off
She wiped my tears and kissed my forehead.
"Hlareny, give love a chance..give August a chance to love you and to make love to you" She said looking in my eyes
"Hlareny just give him a chance, trust him..I know August won't be like Chris.. Just trust me on this one Hlareny" She said
"Okay...I will Cathy" I replied
She smiled and hugged me.
"Okay..so where is August taking you?" She asked
"I don't know" I replied wiping my tears
She took out her phone
