I stood up from the couch and paced in the living room of the house we called home. A plan formed in my head as I walked, chewing on my bottom lip. A lil nervous habit of mine. We lived in the house ever since Dad 'died' and away from the pack house. Our house was located on the west side of the packs territory.
We had to leave, and we had to do it now. My eyes quickly found the grandfather clock as it ticked its way to 2 AM, my sisters fast asleep. I was 19 while my sisters ranged in different ages. Eclair was 15 while Lizzie was 11 and Sammantha was 6.
Unfortunately I hadn't found my mate and if I had, I would have probably rejected him...I'm not saying I don't want a mate. It's just thinking of my sisters is what keeps me at a halt.
I shake my head as I run my finger through my long wavy dark brown hair. I realized that when each year went by the lighter it looked. By now it looked to be a light caramel colour hair. I had nothing special about my eyes but they were my fathers colour of eyes. A blue/green hazel. I stood at 5'8 while my mother stood at 5'1. I had my mothers small nose and pink plump lips.
I walked out of the living room and hurriedly rushed to Eclairs room first. Since we had Alpha blood. We shifted earlier then others, making us shift from the age of 14, one year ago was Eclairs changeling. But before I entered her room I heard stuff being thimbles with quietly and the patter of feet, I laughed quietly at how she tried to be quiet. I quietly opened her door to be welcomed by her blonde hair in a messy bun as she typed away at her phone. Her hazel eyes gleaming in mischief as she glued her face to the phone. I frowned, She was supposed to be asleep but at least I didn't have to deal with a grouchy Clair.
"Clair," I whispered as I approached her, her head whipped to my direction at my voice and she frowned as she noticed how tense I was. She claimed to me before that I was too tense for someone as young as me and needed to relax.
"Sky? What are you doing here?" Her frowned deepened. Acting innocent "Did Mom and you fight again?" It wasn't a secret to them that we fought every so often but spoke nothing much of it.
"Yes..we did." I sighed, this was going to be hard, Clair was the smartest person I knew and the most clever but hell, most of my sisters are like that.
"What happened?" She sat up as her messy bun tilted to the side slowly. "I heard you guys yelling.." She whispered quietly, My jaw tensed. I hated seeing any of my sisters like this. I wanted them to be happy. Seeing the small action she laughed nervously.
"Okay maybe I probably listened to you guys." She whispered the word as if it was bad. I shook my head and walked towards her silently, knowing she needed my shoulder. She flung herself At me as soon as I sat on her single bed. I whispered soothing words and rubbed her back, hoping to comfort my sister. Her and myself had a very close bond, even though years apart, we were like pea's In a pod. She was the one who had a tough front but was extremely emotional. While I was the one who Would keep things bottled up for years and had a temper like my mother.
"I do not wish to separate with all of you, I want to be with you Skylar, with Lizzie and Samantha although they annoy the poop out of me." I ignored the part where she called our siblings annoying, but was at least happy to not hear her swear, I know I was a bad influence on my part of swearing like a sailer but at least they know not to swear when I'm around.
"We won't." I said determined.
"What?" She looked up at me, her dark brown eyes were haunted by clouds of misery as she stared up at me.
"We're going to run away," I whispered to her smiling sadly. "All of us." A look of fear crossed
her face."But, Mother will find us. The pack will be angry-" I cut her off from her rambling.
"Not if we're careful." I say sternly, uncertainty flashed through her eyes as quick as it came. I could practically see that she had gears turning for a plan.
"Alright." She sighed "I'll go pack for you and me, you go wake up Lizzie and Samantha." She ordered and stood up, she wore a black hoodie and black leggings as her blonde hair stood out from the match of clothing.
I shook my head "No, it's better if we kept them asleep. Since there are two of us, you will carry Samantha on you back and I will carry Lizzie just in case." She nodded slowly and started packing. I walked out of the room and into Lizzie's, I mentally thanked god for having our mothers room on the other side of the house.
I grabbed a dark blue backpack and silently Put clothes, stuffed toys and other belongings in it as her chest rises up and down as she slept. She had gotten her hair from father as well, her eyes were a light blue from mother. As soon as I packed all the needed belongings of Lizzie, I slung the bag over my shoulder and carried her bridal style to downstairs and to the couch that laid near the front door. I also thanked god for them being heavy sleepers. Placing a blanket on her, I went to fetch Samantha.
Samantha's bright blonde hair was in a braid I had done before she went to sleep. Samantha was a exact replica to my mother, but shrill definitely not be her, I won't raise her like that.
After packing, I lifted her up gently and took her downstairs as well. Putting her beside Lizzie and draping a warm blanket on her. I glanced to the stairs as I heard hurried steps that attempted to be quiet but couldn't. Clair huffed before dropping two different coloured duffel bags in front of me.
"Dark blue is yours, Red is mine." She nodded and I nodded back with a small smile. "Watch them, I'll go ransack the fridge." I grabbed another duffel bag as I took out pans, pots, spoons, forks, knives, a lighter/matches, and finally oil.
Also food which consisted of all the leftovers in the fridge, also the fruits and meat. I looked satisfied at the empty fridge but frowned when I realized she still had money.
The woman called Clarissa was no mother of mine nor was she ever, I sighed and closed the fridge. I had grabbed chocolate too. Needed for energy or to help my sisters out of fear.
I watched silently at the scene before me when I entered the main hall. My two younger siblings peacefully sleeping together while the other stroked their long hair. I smiled sadly at the sight. I will do anything to keep them at peace. I silently walked towards them, Clair almost screamed seeing me. I was so silent She apparently thought I was a ghost. Again.
"Clair, I'll come back in when I have loaded all the stuff, you carry Sam and I'll take Liz." I took my keys off the rack as she nodded. We sill needed to be careful of Mother waking up. We knew that she would go insane and take anything dear to us. I grit my teeth at the thought and threw the bags in my Billet Silver 2014 Chryster Jeeps back seat, I had paid the car out of my own pocket while secretly working in small cafés. Once I was done I quietly shut the trunk and jogged to the door, I quickly took Samantha in my arms and brought her to the car, placing her in a toddlers chair.
You never know..
I seat belted her and leaned her chair back until it hit the duffel bags. Eclair did the same to Lizzie who groaned a bit. We froze and waited for her to wake up but she muttered something under her breath and if I heard right. It was a swear word. I furrowed my eyebrows and narrowed my eyes at her sleeping form. I crossed my arms and huffed as amusement danced in Clair's eyes, trying her best to stifle her laugh with a small cough.
I frowned, I'd have to get to that later. I jumped into the drivers seat quietly as my baby roared to life silently, I smiled widely at it as soft music flooded the car. Eclair got in the front, I quickly noticed how her eyes darted to the even slightest sound and her hands shaked a bit as they laid on her lap.
"Ready little sis?" I smiled at her assuringly and placed my hand on hers. She nodded mutely, but the small smile on her face made it confirm.
"Good."I smiled, I quietly backed out of the pavement driveway, I almost was out until...
