Fight or Flight!

"The Moon Lord has awoken!"

"Well, this is just fun!" Solaris muttered under his breath. Vortexa stood calmly while listening to Nebule as she and Stardust murmured to one another. After everything fell silent, things became very dark. After about 30 seconds, a flash of blinding, white light soon engulfed the quartet of otherworldly beings. This caused them to raise their arms to guard their eyes from the bright light. Once the light had died down, it revealed a being with a face with tentacles, and three eyes. One being on his head, the other two embedded into the palms of his hands. Vortexa drew her Phantasm bow and shot the eye in the left hand. Nebule was right beside her and was shooting her nebula blazes at the left. Stardust summoned Regulus to his side, mounting him before his Stardust Dragon targeted both hands. The large eye on his forehead opened, glowing and growing in energy as his hands created homing, glowing eyes that tried to kill the team. The eye in his forehead finished charging and a laser appeared in front of Solaris. He grunted in surprise but thrust his blades forward.

"Solaris! Get out of there! The Moon Lord's laser is going to kill you!" Vortexa yelled while shooting arrows towards the right hand. Solaris turned his head slightly, somewhat smiling. He started to spin like a Selenian charging at an enemy. The laser was no match and the Moon Lord closed his eye, leaving the ones in his hands open.

"Let's do this." Solaris snarled before jumping up to meet the Moon Lord's hand and spun again, this time faster. The eye flew out of the hand, shooting a smaller laser which caught Solaris off guard. He tried to block it, before it just passed over him, causing great pain. His body seemed to fall through the air like an anvil would. Stardust pointed to Regulus who nodded silently and caught Solaris on his back. Nebule knocked out the other hand's eye and cast multiples of itself around it, in a circle before charging them at Nebule. She just rolled out of the way and waited for the main eye to open.

"So far, we are doing well. Victory shall be ours!" She murmured before the eye opened again...

"Hell yeah! All that is left is its Core!" Solaris yelled loudly, recovering since the core had been opened. He spun towards the Core, dealing the damage, more pain than the lasers of the eyes dealt to him. Regulus gained a lot of altitude, in the space layer of Terraria, before dropping back down and diving towards the Core. Vortexa and Nebule continued to fire from the ground, dodging and rolling out of the way of the eyes that circled around.

"It's almost dead! Give it all you got!" Stardust turned down and looked down at his counterparts. They nodded in agreement, their eyes hardening with determination. Nebule charged both her Nebula Blazes and combined them together while Vortexa drew the arrow and aimed for the right spot. Solaris spun towards the core like a flaming fury before hitting it and flipping off it and landing on his clawed feet. Vortexa let go of her arrow, which teemed with power of the Vortex Pillar. Nebule was last and cast her giant blaze towards the core, disintegrating it almost instantly. The Moon Lord seemed to cringe up and then burst into bones while the light of day shone through.

"We did it... We really did it..."

"The Moon Lord has been defeated!"
