Chapter 2

Jack's POV:
I was carrying boxes into my new room. I walked out onto my balcony and saw a rad girl surfing the waves. She ran out of the water and quickly put a hoodie on. I could've sworn she had blue streaks in her hair just like me. I got my streaks the other day and this is what my aunt told me.

~Flashback~
Jack I need to tell you something, it started with your parents" my aunt said when I showed her my hair.

"Okay tell me" I said.

"A long time ago my sister came up to me and told me that she had fallen in love and got married and I thought great. Then she said something crazy. She said it was with a merman. He had white hair like yours. His name was David, Lily said that she loved him so much even though she was a human. I didn't believe her until one day a she came up to me while I was on the beach with a small bundle in her arms. It was a baby boy, the little boy was born with legs just like Lily. You were born half merman half human. Later that year you mother was killed in a car accident and your father disappeared into the seas. I raised you but it was said when you grew of age you would start developing your merman side, part of that is the streaks in your hair" she said. I was shocked, I didn't really believe her but it was technically a good reason. "What happens to me" I asked. Well you get the coloured streaks then you develop special powers with water and wind and stuffs like that, merman royalty some times have another ability like ice as well" she said. "Your father was the King of Sealandia you know" she said. "Oh and here this necklace will protect you, when you become more like a merman, when you touch water you transform so if you wear this it stops that but If you wish it it can also transform you back and forth so you can still surf and swim an that kind of thing" she said. I thanked her and put it on. It was a silver chain with a Dark and light blue shell on it. I then lied down and tried i process what she just said. I am half merman, great this will be easy to explain.

~End of Flashback~

I saw the girl climb onto the balcony next door so I went back into my room and started unpacking my boxes.

When I finished unpacking I decided to go and surf a bit. I made sure I got my necklace on and I headed for the beach with my surfboard.
