Andrew's POV
"Honey, we're home!" I called out.
Brianna laughed from behind me as we walked through the door. My mom poked her head out of the kitchen and smiled at me and my sister.
"What's for lunch?" Brianna asked.
"I don't know" My mom said with a smug look.
I rolled my eyes. Sometimes my mom would be too tired to cook.
"Then why were you in the kitchen?" Brianna asked as she walked towards the direction of my mom.
"No! Don't go in there!" Mom yelled."Brace yourself!"
A hesitant look washed over my sister. Her eyes widened as she looked at me.
I laughed like never before. I clutched my stomach and tried to breathe. My sides were aching so I calmed down.
"Will I die?" Brianna questioned.
"This isn't the time to play 21 Questions get your butt out of there" My mom retorted.
Brianna looked my way and instantly I knew what to do. I walked to her and we both walked in. My mom came along but she carried a stick. Furrowing my eyebrows together I looked at the stick.
"There's nothing here" I stated.
The kitchen seemed clean and nothing smelled bad. Nope I take that back. Sitting on the counter was something horrifying.
"Ewww, what is that?" My sister said with a disgusted look on her face.
My mom walked over and poked it with the so called weapon. I walked closer so that I can take a better look at the monstrous thing.
"All I wanted was to make something good" My mom sniffled. Her eyes began to get teary.
"Aww, don't cry" Bri cooed.
"Yeah, don't cry. We'll take you out later tonight" I told her.
"Really?"
"Yup, our treat"
"Ha! Got you two fools" My mom regained herself.
Me and my fraternal twin stood there dumbfounded.
"What-"
"The heck" I finished.
"Dinner did fail, but it's a win win situation right?"
Brianna grabbed my arm and I knew what that meant as well.
"MOM!" We both hollered.
In an instant my mother ran out with us chasing her.
"NOT TODAY COPPERS!" She yelled jumping over the couch.
My sister and I flanked her. We had finally cornered her. Once we had gotten closer my mom reached out from behind her and grabbed something. I got really suspicious and so did Bri since we both walked ever closer. That was our worst mistake. She pulled out her hand and a balloon came into view. I stopped in my tracks as a needle made its way into the picture.
"Don't do it" I warned.
"Oh, but I am" she smirked.
POP!
"Flour?!" I heard a screech.
I coughed as the powder covered my hair, my face, and my clothes. Some of it even entered my mouth.
"You two are going to clean this up" I raised my head and saw my mom hanging over the railing from the top floor. "I'm going to the store to buy a few things, I'll be back in a hour or so."
