After what happened to Tyler, Caroline didn't ever dare to step outside of her home again, she even left her daylight ring in a box. Even the tiniest spot of sunlight didn't shine on her, she kept herself locked inside her home blaming herself for the death of her one and only lover, Tyler, for her she is the only reason why he died. Her mother tried to convince her over the phone, to let go. Caroline's mom was in Chicago because it was very dangerous and it was for her safety that she can't come back to Mystic Falls.

You see Tyler died saving Caroline from Silas, a very powerful vampire and was the same reason why the wolves and their pack left Mystic Falls.

That's why after a few months after Tyler you know--died. She promised herself to never go out of the house, for her this serves as her punishment for Tyler's loss. All of her friends tried to explain that it isn't her fault why he died.

"He did that for you, Caroline" Stefan said with an encouraging smile when they were in the cemetery for Tyler's funeral

But being the Caroline herself, the hard-headed, she wasn't convinced and still locked herself.

Her bestfriends, Bonnie and Elena are trying convince her to let go and move on and start a new, but for Caroline the words 'move on and let go' are two of the most toughest words in her lifetime."Even more hard than resisting sucking out blood from humans" she said with her tone full of remorse and her face so pale than ever. So, her bestfriends come and still try to talk to her on moving forward and giving her blood since she won't go hunt and sometimes her bestfriends would report her what was going on in Mystic Falls but she isn't interested and just nodded to every single sentence her bestfriends would spit out. She also doesn't talk to much, Elena and Bonnie sometimes ask her questions that needs explanation to force her from talking but she just would answer directly and won't finish her answer.

"Hey Caroline, did you know--" Bonnie said joyously when Elena interrupted.

"Of course, she didn't know Bonnie. She haven't been outside for how many months." Elena said jokingly. Elena has been always straightforward since she got back to her humanity, Damon said that there are some attitudes of the old evil Elena got stuck up, and one example is Elena's being so straightforward but they're cool with it.

Caroline just stared at them but her mind fluttered on the sweet moments she had with Tyler, when Tyler promised to be together forever with her and promised her to marry her and together face problems side by side. When Tyler promised her that after the fight-off, they will be together forever and nobody can ever separate them. Then a strong gust of wind blew inside the living room that made Caroline arrange her thoughts and went back to the same sad old remorseful reality.

"As your saying Elena?" Bonnie said jokingly. Bonnie still has her black magic in her but now she learned to control it and use it for good. Elena just laughed and mouthed 'continue' while shaking her head and rolling her eyes. Bonnie just chuckled and continued what she's supposed to say before.

"I suppose to say that the originals will not be bothering us anymore because they just said that they'll be moving to New Orleans to start a life of family, they even told us in a letter that they were sorry for all the things they have done against us, especially Klaus." Bonnie said emphasizing the word 'Klaus'. They all know Klaus loves her even way back when Tyler was alive and they were a couple.

When Caroline heard the name 'Klaus' she quickly remembered how Klaus nursed her until she can stand on her one two legs. After the fight-off everyone were exhausted because they exerted all their efforts during the fight-off but the originals recovered immediately and left, except for Klaus. He stayed and nursed her and Caroline still recalled at that time Klaus was a whole different Klaus he wasn't the Klaus-the-evil-original-hybrid-that-will-kills-us type he was a sweet, caring, loving Klaus that rare people knew he has that side of him and she also remembered how Klaus kept up with her constant screaming whenever she has bad dreams, the time when Klaus stayed and became her constant listener of how she missed Tyler, of how she hated Silas for killing her beloved boyfriend, of how she wished that it was somebody else that got Tyler's fate and not him because if it didn't happen they would live the life they always wanted and especially she told Klaus of how much she really loved and missed Tyler. At those times of hardship she felt something weird and different towards Klaus like she would stammer when Klaus asked her a question and whenever he's near her, like her stomach would be filled with butterflies and whenever Klaus lays his hands on Caroline's forehead to check how is she doing, she would blush but after she got well, well Klaus vanished without saying any goodbye and that feeling she felt she just shrugged it off and left it.
