Cry POV
Cry awoke the next morning to find Felix holding him tightly. He thought of the night before and blushed. Slipping out of under the other man, he stood up and yawned quietly. He opened the door and got away without waking Felix. The first thing he did though was frown, which made his morning dull almost instantly. He let it nag at him while he made coffee. When he added sugar, he headed to the window. He was trying to get comfortable when he felt something underneath him. It was the remote. Shrugging, he clicked on the 6 AM news. He didn’t listen, but looked at the pouring rain outside instead. He just sat there in silence, listening and watching to the rain. It stayed like that until something that alarmed him cut through his hearing.
“Yes, that was a tragedy. Now moving to older events, does anybody remember the 17 or so year old case on a particularly severe case of child abuse? The boy was living with his father for almost 16 years when he finally got away. All the while, there was abuse. Physical. Emotional. And even Sexual. The poor boy took himself to the hospital and he had more than 30 severe injuries. Most of them were broken bones, cuts, or even internal. Now, the reason we are bringing this up again is very important. The boy’s father is being released in 2 hours, no limitations. His name is William Terry, the father of Ryan Terry. Now for that poor boy…” His blood ran cold. He didn’t want to hear anymore. He didn’t need to hear anymore. Getting himself a blanket, he went to the couch and curled up. He was feeling everything right now. You name it, he was probably feeling it. Hurt, sad, alone, fearful, miserable, cold, depressed, scarred, broken… and unloved. He hated, no despised that feeling, and he was feeling it. The question was, why? Clearly Felix loved him. He shrugged that one away and just fell into a… trance almost. He could hear. He could see. He could feel. But he couldn’t move, he was frozen. And he stayed like that until Pewds decided to get up.
Pewds POV
I awoke to the noise of the news. I stretched and yawned, hearing my bones pop. It felt good to stretch. I began to listen closely to the news. I heard something about child abuse, and I stopped listening. I don’t tolerate abuse, whether it is in a relationship or just plain child abuse. It was disgusting, and the victims are scarred for life. I just lay there, knowing where Cry was. Suddenly the TV flicked off, and I heard rustling. Deciding it might be good to get up; I made my way to the family room. I saw Cry curled up on the couch, breathing slow but eyes wide open. I was a little alarmed, seeing his breathing so slow. I walked to him, kneeling beside the couch. “Cry…? Cry. Cry. CRY? Can you even hear me?” Felix began to yell. He fumbled through his pockets, looking for a phone. He found it. He began to think who lived closer. Deciding Scott did, he went down to ‘s’ and hit Scott. He pressed the phone to his ear, eager to hear Jund’s voice over the phone. A simple “Pewdie?” cut through the ringing. “Jund, I need your help! Cry- I-He-…” He was at a loss for words. “I just need you over here, now. It’s important.” Scott gasped and he heard a car door shut. “I’m on my way, Pewds. I’ll be there in five.” There was a ‘click’ and the call was ended. Pewds leaned over the man he kissed the night before, tears in his eyes. Why, why did something have to happen to the man he loved? He was stressed out, so he walked to the other sofa and waited for Scott.
………..
It was only 10 minutes later when he heard the door open. He saw Jund; a concerned look in his eyes. He got up and threw himself to Scott. “He’s on the couch…” Felix began to sob quietly. Scott didn’t go to Cry though, he only opened his arms. Taking that as a gesture to be comforted, Felix threw himself into Jund’s firm grip. At first it was a little awkward, but the two relaxed. After that, they both went to the couch. “What happened, Felix?” Scott asked. He breathed in, but he didn’t know what to say. Jund knew this would take a while. “Lets just try to get him up, maybe he’s sleeping…?” Felix knew that was stupid the second it left his mouth. Jund chuckled a little before going to the kitchen. Felix followed, unaware of what Scott had planned. He saw him get a rag though, and he started to pick up. Going to get the mop bucket out of the pantry, he filled it with cold water. When he finished, Scott had left for the family room. He followed. When he entered the room though, he saw a couple of medical supplies on the couch. Felix casted a glance at Scott. “I have been friends with him for quite a while; I think I should know where the emergency supplies are.” That made Pewdie chuckle a little. He had a feeling he didn’t need water yet, so he stood back. Scott raised a hand to Cry’s head. He then took it off, putting a thermometer in it and putting that carefully in Cry’s mouth. He left that and stood up. “That was fast.” Pewdie remarked. “I’m not done. Do you know where the remote is?” Scott asked. “Probably under Ryan, he was watching the news before all… this.” Jund’s eyes widened. He began searching frantically for the remote. Finally he decided to move Cry. Sure enough, under the blonde was the black remote. Scott hit the ‘on’ button and knelt down again. “Felix, can you change that to the news?” He asked. I nodded and flicked to channel 10. Placing the remote carefully back down on the coffee table, I continued to watch Jund. I saw him take out the thermometer and read it. His frown deepened. “Fever?” I guessed. Jund turned the thermometer around so I could see. I recoiled in shock.
103.2
Even though that was in Fahrenheit, I knew it was high. He gestured to the bucket. I picked it up and carried it to him. Leaning down, I watched Scott a little closer until I heard ‘Ryan’ on the TV. Instinctively my head turned and I tapped Scott. My reflexes were slow though, as he already had his head turned around. I pulled my hand away sheepishly. I didn’t have time to react before I heard Jund whisper, “That son of bitch…” I knew this must be important, so I looked to the TV. The red newsroom was replaced with black as the TV flicked off. “Hey, what happened?” I asked. “Tell you later. Right now, go and shut and lock every window and blind.” I only nodded, sensing the urgency in his voice. I went from upstairs to downstairs, even double checking my work. When I came back down, I flopped on the seat across from Jund. “Tell me now?” I panted. He nodded.
“When Cry was 3, his mother died. That left him and his father alone in a house until he was 16. His father coped well until… one day… when he was 6… his father began screaming at him, continually. Ryan always used to come over my house and we would talk about it and he would go home. The only time I was pissed was when he was 11. The bastard laid a hand on him. I told Cry I wanted to beat the shit out of him, but he made me swear I wouldn’t tell anyone. And I kept my promise. But when he was 12, things began to escalate from picking him up and dropping him to kicking and burning. It got harder and harder to hold my tongue when he would come to school with a bruise, cut, scratch, or burn. Eventually Cry just stopped talking about it, and I figured it must have gotten really bad.”
I stared at him in awe. “How… so Ryan… was abused as a child?”
“In every way. Emotional, physical, neglect, abandonment, and…” the brunette trailed off.
“And…?” I pressed.
“…Sexual.”
I brought a hand to my mouth. No. No way. No fucking way. I felt a flame burn inside me. If I ever got my hands on the bastard, heh. Good luck getting out of that one. I saw Jund stretch and move to the family room witch Cry. I followed, not sure where to sit. I only had one option. I went to Cry, lifted him up, and slid under him. I laid his head on my lap. I got comfortable and ran my fingers through Cry’s hair. Scott grinned. At that point, nothing needed to be said. He got it all. Our love, our relationship, and our kiss. I asked another question “So what happened to his father?”
“He got a life sentence.”
“So why were we closing all the blinds and locking everything?”
“That was what freaked me out on the news. His father was let out like 30 minutes ago.”
