Aiden was raised in a small valley outside of Magnolia. He never knew either of his parents, but he was raised by the ice dragon Koriyu as a small child, which is how he came to learn ice dragon slayer magic. He remembers having a sister and brother, Dara and Rou, with him, but he thinks that they were separated before Koriyu found him. When Koriyu disappeared, his number one goal was to find her, but his quest proved hopeless after hearing all the rumors that dragons had become extinct.
He was found by a powerful S-class Fairy Tail wizard named Iyamai when he was 8 years old, and she became his new mother figure. This was when he met his half-sister, Hikari. In the years when he was with Iyamai, he was reunited with his brother and sister, Rou and Dara.
When Aiden was 15, Iyamai went on a quest by herself and never returned. Fearing for her safety, he attempted to go look for her and bring her home, but he ran into the problem she was supposed to solve and barely escaped with his life. This is why he has bandages wrapped around his forearms and legs, hiding many scars and burns he'd gotten that day. He hides them to avoid questioning.
Aiden waited another 2 long years, and finally received the news when he was 17: Iyamai's death. This is when he officially joined Fairy Tail with a new goal in mind: To become an S-class wizard to avenge Iyamai.
Since his life has only contained the loss of his loved ones, he's become a recluse to people and doesn't like to care about anyone, in fear that he would lose them, too. But in the past month in Fairy Tail, he's realized it's impossible to not make friends, and he's found himself with a couple new friends. Besides them, and his siblings, Hikari, Dara, and Rou, he tends to push everyone away.
