Silence............
Silence is all that was heard in the cold kitchen. It was almost defining and the anticipation of communication only added to the affect of the moment. All that could be heard was our breathing as tightened his grip on my face, then with a harsh push I fell on the cold tile floor.
As I brush my hair out of my face I hear the creak of my kitchen table chair then footsteps. I look up just in time to see him walking out the door, looking at me the whole time. Then he was gone.
'What the fuck?!?' I mentally screamed. I get up off the floor and just stand there, looking at the door. I was trying to make sense of what just happened. 'Maybe I'm just dreaming and I'll wake up and second.' I hoped, closing my eyes and trying to calm down.
I jump as I hear a knock on my door, still a bit shaky from the previous events. I slowly walk to the door, unknowing of what is behind it. I open the door, shocked to see my only friend from high school, John Poff. I gasped and hugged him, I was so happy! This guy helped me through so much shit.
"JOHN!!!!!" I screamed as he hugged me back "I missed you!!"
"I missed you too, Snow White." he said letting me go, I remember that nickname too well. I invited him in and I closed the door.
"What are you doing here, and how did you know where I lived?" I said, just now realizing that I never told him my address.
"Well I thought you were still living with your asshole parents so I went there. They were pissed at me for showing up there but they told me where you lived, I wanted to surprise you!" He says with a smile plastered on his face.
"Well you did!!" I said smiling back. "I had no idea!"
"I was wondering if we could hang out sometime?" He asked, twiddling his thumbs out of nervousness, rocking back and forth on his heels looking down.
"You look like you killed a person, of course we can hang out! We need to catch up anyway." I said. He looked up and smiled brightly, and I returned the gesture.
"How about I pick you up at 7:00?" he asked.
"That sounds great, where are we going?" I asked, curious.
"It's another surprise, Snow White!" he yelled, walking out of my house.
'Now we wait...'
