Thud thud thud thud.
The only thing I could hear was the fast beating my heart was making. I look to my side and saw Harper about to give out. We've been running for a while since things got a little bad on our way back from our supply run. "Come on Harper, don't give up on me!" I yelled.
We were just merely five minutes from where we were hiding but I feared Harper was going to pass out before we got there. I looked back to see if the horde was still behind us but we had lost them already. I started losing speed, Harper needed a break.
"Harper stop, we lost them." I told her. I did not need to tell her twice before she stopped. Panting and with her hands on her hip she said, "I hate this Elsa, why can't we have a normal life?"
I sighed. If only I had the answer for that.
