Chapter 7: Over my dead body

Ma's place went great, we hunted(well I mostly did)for deer and cooked it up and just talked about how our lives have changed since last time we talked. Travis has been such a dork, but such a sweet heart, he's been apologizing for attacking me every second, but I just told him to shut his mouth, that it wasn't his fault it was Ma's. She's the ones who told him to attack me for "safety purposes" yea safety purpose my ass.

Now I'm driving to hell: School, I know you're wondering why go back to school? Well I'm still a Junior and I want to make myself useful in this world; just like how my mother would want me to. While driving I listening to Bastille, singing to every word his majestic voice sang.

Once I got to school I checked myself in the mirror and thought I looked presentable with my leather boots, white top, and black skinny jeans. I picked up my school bag and headed out the car door, with a smirk on my face. All eyes where on me, whispers flooding the entire school like a giant wave; pathetic that people don't have anything else to talk about.

"She's back"
"Shit"
"I thought she was killed"
"The Alpha won't like this"

Yea well Alpha Xavier can suck a huge dick cause I'm here to stay, no matter what that fucker says. I walked slowly towards the school doors, swaying my hips, causing wolf whistles to swirl around. I scoff, men. I look to the side and stop dead in my tracks, the sight in front of me was very very dramatic. Llaine was acting as if the slash I gave her was a big deal, but what surprised me the most was that Ally was no where near her.

I questioned it but ignored the fact that she was gone; she's probably out doing her homework or eating, even though she's as thin as a stick, she eats like an elephant.

Suddenly there was a guy in front of me, with a very angry look on his face, wow I just got back and more drama, I roll my eyes, of course there is. "May I help you?" I ask in a very annoyed matter but give him a fake smile. He nods, and I feel his hand go to my neck, I gasp as he picks me up from the floor.

He bring my face towards towards his, he smelled like cigarettes and a cologne, but behind all that, I knew he was an Alpha, he radiated power "Don't ever. Ever. Touch my woman again. You hear me?" He says gritting his teeth. I glare at him and twist his wrist making him release my neck. I cough and stare angrily at him "yea well tell her to suck a dick, oh wait she's already doing that with the whole football team" I say calmly.

Oohs ' came from the people watching, the guy shook with anger, fuck he's going to shift. "Get the humans out!" I yell to no one in particular. All the people scrambled away leaving me only with dickshit here almost shifting, but the color change in his eyes I knew his wolf was taking control. I look into his eyes challenging him,I know he's an Alpha, and I shouldn't look into his eyes,but right now I don't give a shit, if it means protecting these people from this idiot wolf-male that's supposed to keep cool in these type of maters.

I stood up straighter and tilted my head to the side, raising my eyebrow in a teasing matter, keeping my cool I talked calmly and respectful. " Look whoever your woman is" I say bringing up my fingers in a quotation matter " she deserved it both of them did. No one should talk to me without respect. I've dealt with their bull for far to long" putting my hands on my hips I starred at the Alpha.

"No one should be treated like that. No one. I don't care if she's your mate, woman, whatever she is. You taunt me or a weaker person who can't stand up for themselves, they will get slashed" I say, bringing up my Alpha tone.

"She did nothing wrong-"

"It's true. I did taunt her" to my surprise Ally stood there with shame plastered on her face. She looked wrecked; the slash I gave her was not visible but you could see a visible scar on her left cheek.

" I beat, taunted you and I regret every second of it. I did it out of anger and regret. And I pay for it everyday, Kat I am so sorry, you were my best friend and you trusted me and I was a shitty friend and betrayed you. I'm sorry" tears shredded her eyes like knifes, falling like waterfalls down her cheeks.

I didn't know what to say, I was baffled, and a bit confused, I never get apologized. Confusion and anger radiated from my brain, I didn't know how to respond to the she-wolf in front of me so I just simply nodded, tears and memories forming and taking power over me. I looked down and right on cew like the Gods knew I needed their help: the bell rang.

Clutching my bag, I ran to the front doors pushing them open and heading to first period: Literature. That class was the only classes I liked, I already knew everything I needed for that class, since I read like a maniac so our teacher Mr. Lightwood lets me read while he teaches the other blind teenagers about Literature.

Heading to class I walked into the room and into my seat which was placed at the corner of the room. As I walked in Xavier was placed at the desk, clutching the sides, turning his knuckles white, he must've sensed I was present when he started speaking " I should kill you you know" he says crossing his arms and leaning back. " go right ahead. Might as well leave this hellhole with a reason" I say clearly annoyed, like a struck of lightning he was in front of me, his body hovering over mine.

" as much as I'd like to, I can't" he says, his voice sharp "bummer" I say looking at him and smiling innocently. He frowns, increasing the wrinkles on his forehead, for a young Alpha he is really aging quick, I chuckle at my silly thought and focus back to reality.

He sighs and takes a step back, increasing the distance between us " as pack Alpha I am responsible for you and your actions. And since we are having the grand Pack Rejoice tomorrow I have no choice but to keep you guarded, you know to make sure you don't kill anybody who even glances at you" he says crossing his muscular arms making them look bigger.

"One time!" He squints his eyes at me "Okay a few times but c'mon! I've learned my lesson just please don't give me stupid guards, I can take care of myself you know! I've been doing it for the past sixteen years" I say, venom spitting out of my words.

He shakes his head and walks towards the door, turning his back from me, I growl and his rudeness " you gave me no choice Katherine. You've killed multiple wolves and I will not, I will not allow it no more. Do you understand me?" He says.

I glare at the wall, my nails digging into my palm, "I said, Do you understand?" He says but more force in his tone, I continue to glare at the wall but give a slight nod, indicating that I understood his wishes.

He nods back and heads out the door, slamming the door behind him, shaking the walls of the room.

Well shit, I say to myself, at least things are back to normal now.

Oh how wrong I was.
