Chapter 4 Help!

Kate's pov

The explosion rang in my ears are Carmelita pulled me to her, she pulled her shock pistol out when they thew in a smoke bomb.

I felt someone else grab my other hand, and pulled keeping my away from Carmelita.

"Hang on!"
I heard her scream as they pulled me to the hole in the wall.

Carmelita said something into her watch calling for backup.

Before the man could pull me out two big arms grabbed me and pulled me back, shooting the guy that tried to take me.

My heart was pounding and I still couldn't see anything due to the smoke.

I hang onto my backpack tightly because it was more important then my own life.

The smoke cleared and the guy holding me was a huge gorilla.

I thanked him and ran to Carmelita.

She made sure I was ok and we left to her house.

Time skip

We sat down at her dining room table.

"Ok, I didn't know Cooper and Amber had a daughter."

"How to you know my moms name!"

"Well, before she met Cooper, she was a cop, we were best friends, but when she met Cooper, and fell in love, I thought Cooper was toying me and using me to get away, but Amber explained everything, and I got to know your dad more, we all become good friends, but I didn't want to quit as a cop when she became a thief. So we meet and hanged out in the hideout, but they never told me about you."

"Oh, can you help me?"

"Oh yes, anything for Cooper and Amber. My husband will help to, he's upstairs sleeping."

"Husband?"

"Ya husband, when I found out Cooper and Amber loved each other, I knew I had to move on, and I met Ben."

"I heard my name?" A guy said as he walked into the room.

"And yes honey I will help, I was "overhearing" though the door.

He kissed Carmelita and she kissed back.

I laughed and I pulled at my dads cane from my bag.

"You have Sly's cane?" Ben asked

"Ya, I also have "the book""

"Well, dad said the rest of the gang would help me if he went missing, and he is, he said Dimitri lives in New York, and he might know where Bentley and Murray are"

"Well, now we know where we're going"

The phone started ringing loudly.

"I will get it!" Ben joyfully said as he skipped to the phone with Carmelita rolling her eyes."

"Hello Mr. Barkley, no sir, do we have to now? We're kind of in a dire family problem. Ok, I will let her know." He sadly said.

"Carm, Mr. Barkley said that their having a problem at the station and that it's an emergency that we have to go. It's in our contract."

"Really! At this time! Will you be Ok going all the way to New York by yourself?"

"Yea Carmelita, thanks for asking but I will be fine."

"People are looking for you here, on my way here people on the streets are going around showing your picture to everyone asking if they have seen you, so no hitch hiking. Or no bus, no train."

"How about my private jet for cop work? I can get you on there!"

We dashed out of their house and went back to the station to get my plane ready.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Oh ya!" I got my bag and got onto the plane.

It was very nice on the plane, as soon as I hit the pillow, I fell asleep.

Time skip

"Hey, it's time to get up, were in New York kid."

I rolled my eyes at his attitude.

"Im telling Inspector Fox  just the way your taking to me."

He froze and started going over bored, getting my coat, heading me my back pack, and putting on a fake smile.

I again rolled my eyes and got off the plane.

"New York, here I am" I whispered to myself.

I went into a small coffee shop with my tummy growling loudly, I realized I haven't eaten in days!

I ordered a muffin, a slice of cake, and a small coffee.

I used my phone with the Internet and tracked down Dimitri. He was staying in a fancy hotel not to far from here. Of corse, close to the ocean because the hotel had a diving thing going on.

He could know where Bentley and Murray are!

I congratulated myself and went to the hotel.

It was empty but one other person.

I went up the first desk where the person stood.

"Hello, I am here to find Dimitri?"

"Are you other one of those fan girls, I told you to go away before I call the cops."

I rolled my eyes for like the fifth time today, like what is up with these idiots?

I had to get in other way, but how.

I went outside to think because I couldn't in their with the girl in their glaring holes into my head.

But it hit me, some skinny guy, super short, he looked like an new employee, and his clothes would fit me, and an evil smile hit my face.

He went around back to take the trash he was carrying to throw it away, and I quietly followed him.

I waited until he was round back and took out dads cane and knocked him out cold! I pulled him behind the dumpster so I could take his clothes.
